cheap is good as long as quality is sacrificed, but as with most things you get what you pay for

i've tasted a lot of both cheap and expensive and i've come to conclusion: most of classic, cheap beer sold here have quality and taste that clearly that far away from most expensive/rare ones

if you can find them at your place, try them out:

- amstel (plain/classic/no adds)
- carlsberg (same)
- faxe
- balitka (classic)

i really see no reason to look any further :donno:

this is quite accurate considering what he refers to as beer

what i call beer verse what people who drink bud, millers and coors call beer are complete different

in my defense, there is clearly that much to pick from, at least if we talking about sweden
it hard to explain in two words alcohol politic of sweden, but in short: ppl got heavy drunk from the time they discovered what alcohol is, so government with ppl support taxed alcohol to the maximum and sell it in only few government controlled stores
for instance in my town there is 600k inhabitants and only 12 stores that sell alcohol
besides they sell only limited product range, in store you can get right away only some sorts of beer, otherwise you must order and wait few days, so logically barely anyone does that
if you interested what you can get in sweden, i mean beer ofc: http://www.systembolaget.se/Applikationer/...het:S%u00f6tma:

well let's see here are some quality beverages you can buy based off of that list:
aventus
cantillon (its a lambic though so would clearly really be what you consider beer)
GOOSE ISLAND BOURBON COUNTY STOUT

Anchor Porter or Anchor Steam (Gary I believe refers to the steam beer as being his go-to every day drinking beer.)

Brooklyn Brown Ale or Brooklyn Lager (Both easy drinking mild flavored)

Duvel (Belgian style staple across the world.)

Franziskaner Hefe-Weissbier or Hoegaarden Witbier or Paulaner Hefe-Weissbier (these are all light wheat beer with lots of flavor)

Trappist Rochefort 6, 8 or 10. (These are belgian style beers that I find to be delicious at room temperature however they come with a bit higher price than all the rest.)

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale or Harvest (Taking a chance here that neither of them will be really fresh, but it will give you an idea of what craft beer in America is like.)

After you try some from this list and report back with what you like or dont like about them we get go into better detail about other selections.
