It is a single release though during the winter so would prolly be tough to find at this point

had a bottle of blue dot last n8 that had basically zero carbonation
was odd, tasted like syrup or something
tried holding the bottle about a foot over the glass and poor just the slightest amount possible and i still couldnt create any head

second bottle exactly the same
looking for feedback on what happened

bad botteling? capping?

bottle conditioned? by the sounds of it (syrupy and non carbed) either the yeast crapped out or it was clearly given enough time to referment in the bottle to product carbonation, but even then it should clearly feel or tasty syrupy as it is clearly that much added sugar

Never had a bluedot but I've had hotd brews with capping issues. However, you could see the cap was clearly seated properly prior to opening it.
Do you have a batch code or bottling run number?
I would contact them and explain your experience. If it is a recent batch they might have time to act on it before it goes through all the distribution lines.

Disregard, seems people have been bitching about it for a couple weeks now. It's being blamed on the brewery just being
moved, taproom installed and getting settled in.

Hotd should be diso quality control.
To have under carb issues is one thing but to have gushers one batch and flat the next is irresponsible especially considering their price per bottle

right because iphone can just automagically upload the picture considering it has no file system base for you to be able to select the pictures you take

fucking christ joe, copy/paste was a revolution for the iphone this year. I look forward to the select-a-picture option sometime in 2014 aka ilolphone version 10.twevleteen

I called to ask about people who were interested in attending but clearly having more than 1 or 2 beers.

Owner said it is clearly necessary to buy a ticket in and you can pay as you go for $2.50 per 5oz glass.

If you like hops/ipas Evan you need to try anything/everything on this list that says "DDH". Those are all hoppy beers that have been double dry hopped.

I'm sitting here with a list of a dozen beers that are "must tries"

I figure if I only drink one every 20-30 minutes, I will still be able to spell my name by the time Gary gets off work.

I honestly wish the list wasn't as awesome as it is, there is no way I can review half of them in one day

A 5oz pour with more than 2.5 times the "normal" amount of alcohol in a beer means tonight's alcohol consumption is going to be 50 fluid ounces with the alcohol equivalent to an entire 30 pack of BMC...

the stone 2007 barleywine aged in bourbon barrel was very smooth, with sweet tones. you could definitely taste the wooden cask with a slight bourbon character. alcohol content was high, and you could taste it, which i dont like as much. hops werent as heavy as i expected.

the dry hopped ipa that i tried was very good as well, much lighter of a beer, clearly as sweet, but great hops which i loved
