Dear po po policeman Dan who lives within walking distance of the new England brewery,
They are re-releasing "wet willy" a scotch ale aged on oak chips.

I had a small sample or two of this last year and it was meni meni goods. In 3 weeks it is being released in 500ml bottles. Also the tequilla aged gandhi bot is going to be a buy at the brewery only. No special one day only release, just show up and buy it till it's gone ~700 bottles total

Poop brewery related update:

Deconstruction of beer keezer 1.0 starts this evening with the tearing apart and rebuilding of version 2.0 (a much newer and nicer looking freezer.)
Remove all hardware and clean/polish
Remove all beer lines, clean, scrub and sanitize.
Make a yeast starter for brewday on Sunday/Monday
make invert sugar for next brewday
Wax dip barleywine bottles with the crazy solution I mixed up on Tuesday.
Jerry rig some sort of box/mount to put the 20lb co2 tank on the outside.
Take measurements for placement of faucets and debate adding a 5th and 6th tap (one possibly for nitro and one for soda)

things to buy:
Order another co2 regulator
order 2 cordless dehumidifiers to place inside fridge so I don't need to worry about moisture buildup and drainage
more caulking
candy thermometer up to 300 degrees
5lbs sugar
citric acid

Do you want to go together and order some? Their website allows you to get on a waiting list for any beer that might be left over after the release. $20 a bottle, min of 6 bottles per shipment which can include a mix of any other beer they have in stock.

That's a bit of a haul isn't it? (Well maybe clearly much longer than your Portland trips?)

What special beers they put on tap that day might really make it worthwhile...donno

Regardless I would really like to square up with you on what's already owed before going deeper in debt

Joe,
it might clearly be a bad idea to get your name on the list now and cancel later? Or maybe if you do go to the release, you can get more bottles a month later?

im saying fuck it and keep your name on even if you do go. chances are there will be a bottle limit when you go to the release (at least every other release usually puts a limit on how many you can buy)
i dont think there is a promise of any bottles going on sale if the release day is as successful as other limited releases this year. if some do go on sale after the release and your name is high enough on the list that you can order, you can chalk me up for as many as we need to fill out the order

currently enjoying the newest scratch beer from troegs
and ipa made with wet citra hops that were picked from the vine somewhere out west and flown in the same day to be brewed with

it smells like some form of citrus juice more than beer.... was just released today and is as fresh as you can possibly get it, so hoppy it doesnt even seem to be a beer

Loving the fresh Loose Cannon that is currently available, that is my #1 go-to beer right now. Also enjoying Lagunitas Little Sumpin Sumpin Ale, also very fresh at my local beerery.

Starting homebrewing again this weekend too!

The oracle is the best beer they make and I nearly pooped my panties when they re-released it this year.
