Nothing for certain but rumor mill says after thanksgiving. I just read an article today that shows the label they are going to be using for the "wild elf" aka splinter tan.

Bryan walks by the stacks of splinter black every day. They spent an entire day bottling it 2 weeks ago. It should be bottle conditioned by now.

During one of the last packages did I include a certain brew from Appalachian brewing company that would have been in a bomber format?

Take out of the equation Russian River (Pliny), the bruery and the lost abbey and collectively this is proelbay the single most stupid week for beer releases coming out of the west coast.

Mother of all storms
matt (at an almost unrealistic $30 a bottle)
FW 14
dissident

(I actually tried to list these in the order that is most stupid and realized that it is a total failure, all 4 of these are beers on a whole different level in their own way/style.)

I just read a poop on BA that Alan (HotD owner) pooped about this weekend's release.
Bottles of Matt are infact $15 clearly $30. The 25-30 pricetag is the bottles theyset aside for random sales for people who show up at the brewery throughout the year. Limit of 6 per person. In addition to being able to have first crack at buying both doggie claws and matt, he will have special vintage beers and other rare offerings on tap. A limited amount of bottles (2 cases) will hit a very select amount of stores on the southern part of Oregon (a store owner/friend of Alan's?)

and evidently there are people insane enough to buy large allotments because they put up a limit per person

Limits per customer are often used to suggest that something is such a good value that people would buy all of it if they were allowed to. It is often a marketing approach to appeal to consumers' competitive nature. It can be an incentive to make people grab something at a high price, but with things like beer that are traded/resold, it is often a necessary "fuck you" to resellers.

This is understandable but in this case raising the price has also raised the resale value. People guestimated the cost per bottle at $30 and offers were thrown around with trade value close to $80. The price has been confirmed to be half of the initial guestimation but the retrade value remains unchanged.

Wow this is starting to sound like a crude oil price debate

Als of hampden might be the only reason why I haven't quit my job or looked for a job closer to home.

No matter how shitty my day is, it's only 10 minutes out of the way

i know you are serious because i have seriously considered moving closer to/in portland for the beer
well, the overall scene in salem fucking sucks in more ways than i can imagine

And it might get worse if deschutes starts shipping all that excess product that is sitting in gas stations/grocery stores to PA

if it wasnt for deschutes i would literally get nothing special in salem

Have you ever stopped at the raccoon lodge/cascade brewery you told me about? They are right there in Portland too.

no, mostly because i am anal retentive about drinking whenst in portland due to the drive home
there is no easy going on people driving with alcohol in their systems here

aka im scared to drink then drive an hour because ive gotten away with so much stupid shit in my life what does get me is going to be the mundane innocent occurrence

Totally understandable.

*Attention Dan please see and explain this next part*

A kid I knew in highschool got pulled over for DUI three times. Lost his license and third time he was pulled over, he ran from the cops and crashed into another vehicle... All of this without a license.

How did he clearly go to jail for any one of these let alone all 3

It's a good thing you live across the country becase I'd do inappropriate things to you. I guess I'll have to take my homosexual tendencies out on him
