The nipples on my 3 way split from kegconnection are 1/4"

So now I call this local prolly junk homebrew store tomorrow and hope for tubing or go to home depot check for tubing/nipples

If I get nowhere I waste a few days in which I could finally be bottling/waxing bottle again

took a gravity reading on the belgian
I think the last time I checked it (prior to adding amalyse) it was stalled at 1.032-1.034, now it is at 1.028 which is like 9.6% abv

i dont know if i should start to cold condition now or let it ride for another couple of weeks...im leaning towards waiting 2 more weeks and seeing if it drops any lower

the sample i drank this time around is clearly as sweet but it's hard to judge without having a side by side comparison, smells exactly like what i was shooting for

Bottled the export stout that was aged on vanilla beans and oak cubes. It tastes VN1, can't wait for it to be carbed in 2 weeks.

My Brett version of Berliner weisse was a flop, hardly any acidity. I'm thinking about rebrewing it this weekend and doing fresh wort on top of it

Looks like I need to get busy. Troegs is having a homebrew competition on St. Pats day. The winner gets paid and gets their beer brewed by troegs.

Style: triple IPA
Alcohol: 11-14%
no more than 5 types of hops

Got two bombers of Sierra Nevada Hoptimum - http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/140/55939

Beer guy at the store had one of them when he opened the store at 9:20AM, was hungover by 11:30 when I got there.

Also got two bombers of SN wet hop harvest, four bombers of SN Celebration Ale, and two oilcans of Fosters bitter (green can). That should be enough beer to last through the storm that probably isn't happening much.

wait.. what
Stone is one of the most widely distributed breweries in PA. It is on the shelf in every place that sells beer, even shitty beer places have stone

looks like they are trying to cover too much shelf space in too many places or they have hired some jackass into a head of sales/marketing position. stone RIS at $9 a bomber is the only beer that I buy everytime I see it whether I want/need it or clearly. its one of the best value beers you can buy for under 10 bucks

the beer is good, but in the state where beer was invented you can find the same meal in a bottle right next to a stone product for half the price

many beers received from scott, awesome stuff, glad to try all of them (i still have some left ofc)

your belgian strong dark was outstanding. as i said its a newer style for me but i really liked it.
had your ris friday. one question, is it supposed to be an extremely hi carb beer? the flavor was good, no sourness or funk, but very high carb. it didnt gush or anything, but i had to poor slowly and stop a few times, and that was to get about the first 1/3 into a tulip. the flavor was ofc high carb, but i could tell it was a very tasty beer behind the carb.

other highlights: bells two-hearted ale, best brown, cherry stout (i read adams review of this beer and it was spot on, i expected a stout with a cherry flavor and i got a fruit beer that was black.. good anyway just different), xmas ale, hell hath no fury, 3rd coast, with expedition stout still untried yet. end result: bells makes good beer, 2 hearted and hell hath no fury stealing the show so far.

great lakes: xmas ale, edmond fitzgerald, nosferatu. all very good, EF and nosferatu both outstanding stuff.

other notables: brooklyn monster ale, two brothers cane and able, founders breakfast stout, second 2 hearted and expedition stout still to be consumed.

many thanks m8.

beers tried whilst in illinois:

http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/689/64485 : interesting, first of the style i have seen/tried so clearly much to say. it certainly had a wheat taste to it, pretty clean. good.
http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/158/19216 : ive had this before, but i got this for xmas night. always outstanding. the oak is clearly the dominant flavor which ive has some where the wood dominates and takes away from the beer.
http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/30/24357 : idk what to say. just like mephistopheles and the beast, i find this just needlessly too high of abv. maybe im supposed to wait years before drinking. p sure all 3 of the ones ive had were 09, but the beer took a back seat to the alcohol. maybe im too much of a novice still for that stuff :donno:

Glad you enjoyed them. clearly sure what is up with that RIS as it had plenty of time to ferment, I just must have added a bit too much sugar it seems.

The reason for the two different two hearteds was for freshness. One was much fresher than the other but I think it still holds it own regardless of age.

Oh what you have left I come in my panties for the founders and will be intrigued what you think of that brooklyn as it was bought last winter so it has had some time to age.
