something sour that adam will remember
hopslam
pliny
abyss 09 (clearly super infected)
southampton RIS draft
black saison
old herb
RIS mooch of a glass
splinter black
east end gratitude
stone ipa

That would be bullfrog saison deluxe.
(350 bottle release last year)

Going to bed with a severe headache. Donno if it's from the alcohol or lack of sleep since Thursday night. Regardless, gn8 and great beers tonight.

I'm too lazy to click every link just to see what beers they are. Beer name at least should be mandatory, link optional

I rated them both lower than the average but still as an A-.
The hop rod rye was better tasting the racer 5 was better balanced and easier drinking... then again its 2 percent less alcohol so :donno:

I have a growler of racer X to consumer today to complete my bear republic kick

Sierra Nevada Stout - Check (was tasty for my first stout)
Old Rasputin - Check (purchased but clearly drunken yet)

The store I went to (my first time inside one) had quite the large selection to pick from.
2 shelves proal 60 feet long of singles, large section of 4 packs and 6 packs warm
then a smaller section in the fridge behind it

Just got home from the trip to Athens, Oh. Jackie O's is fucking amazing.

The bottle release was set for Saturday 11:00 a.m., the actual brewpub didn't open until 9:00 a.m.
We arrived at midnight on Friday and drank until 2:30 a.m., checked into the hotel and took an hour long nap. Got in line shortly after 3:30 a.m. and at 6:00 a.m. they handed out calendar pages that gave us a numbered lineup so that we could leave and go get warm/something to eat and come back later.

Went back to the hotel, took an hour powernap and returned to the line up after grabbing a bite to eat. There was less than 200 bottles of each type of beer being released which meant only the first 70 people who lined up would get to buy 3 of each bottle. We were roughly numbers 20 and 21 in line. Since there was nearly 120 people who showed up before 7:00 a.m. they decided to cut the number back that you could buy from 3 to 2.

Secured bottles, placed them in vehicle and then the pandemonium started. Every single person in the place opened the most rare beer I have seen in awhile. Absolute free for all along with rounds of beer being purchased from the 40 different tap offerings. Everything being poured was over 9% alcohol, it was a sloppy drunken mess everywhere. Sometime around 2:00 p.m. a pizza was purchased for us. The crust was made from the spent brewery grains...amazing. Fast forward to 6:30 p.m. We wondered down the street and ate at some pseudo mexican/hippy restaurant. Decent beer on tap, amazing food. Went back to Jackie O's until 1 a.m. At some point around midnight I started an hour long conversation about brewing with the owner/brewmaster. As a departing gift we were given beer that was clearly served throughout the day in the form of 3 growler fills.

Sitting here looking at the aftermath, I have more beer in growlers that was free than the amount of bottles we were allowed to purchase.

Oh yea forgot to mention they do make some dam good spent grain pizza, only place I have ever had anything like it. Also sounds as if you made it to Casa and liked it. Remember what you got there?

Otherwise it sounds like a typical weekend in Athens, very drunk haha

Oh yea forgot to mention they do make some dam good spent grain pizza, only place I have ever had anything like it. Also sounds as if you made it to Casa and liked it. Remember what you got there?

Otherwise it sounds like a typical weekend in Athens, very drunk haha

I didn't even look at the menu, the waitress said something about the special of the day being haddock and I went for it. Others had burritos, salads and 7 layer dip with pita bread and chips.

Also I wish they would have done something like this while I was going to school there

I shared quite a few brews with a guy named Nate who went to school there for 6 years and recently graduated and moved to Virginia. I have his contact info on BA, I thought you might have run into him. He brews and is obviously big into beer. I didn't bother asking him if he knew Jew Scott from DC but I should have.

Available in the next 2-3 days? I am unavailable from Thursday till Sunday because the mother in law is coming to visit for when we find out the sex of the baby on Friday.

where is your sense of adventure???

Relating to finding the sex out on Friday I assume? We both are ancy to find out...well her more than me. I'm anxious for the nurse to give us the wrong sex so we can get everything ready only to find out the nurse was wrong an we will be bringing a boy home to a pink room, etc.

doing some fridge cleanup tonight
saranac bohemian pilsner... i stumbled upon a variety six pack of saranac brews and have no idea where they came from. my best guess is this was a variety case that Eric purchased and gave me the other half of it which would mean there are another set of 6 brews somewhere in one of the fridges...
