My liver is pulsating from the 3-day beer bender that ended last night with a boatload of bad decisions and unnecessary bottles of beer being opened. Lol good times though

The only unnecessary was 2010 abyss, of course the ones that were wanted and enjoyed...but if you are saying unnecessary like the A1 steak sauce beer and zapata then yes

Yup, opening that dudes homebrew that smelled like steaksauce confirmed my curiosity of him being either the most creative/crazy homebrewer I know, or the worst.

Wow, just realized now that this toilet is officially a year old.

I was about to poop a weekend long summary and realized that poop #1 in this toilet is that from last year.

So Saturday tickets go on sale for darklord day. You need a ticket this year for entry. Is anyone actually interested in going? It looks like 2 friends who swore they wouldn't miss it this year have already backed out so I'm going by myself unless someone wants to go with.

Anchor Porter or Anchor Steam (Gary I believe refers to the steam beer as being his go-to every day drinking beer.)

Brooklyn Brown Ale or Brooklyn Lager (Both easy drinking mild flavored)

Duvel (Belgian style staple across the world.)

Franziskaner Hefe-Weissbier or Hoegaarden Witbier or Paulaner Hefe-Weissbier (these are all light wheat beer with lots of flavor)

Trappist Rochefort 6, 8 or 10. (These are belgian style beers that I find to be delicious at room temperature however they come with a bit higher price than all the rest.)

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale or Harvest (Taking a chance here that neither of them will be really fresh, but it will give you an idea of what craft beer in America is like.)

After you try some from this list and report back with what you like or dont like about them we get go into better detail about other selections.

bumping this to clearly forget what to order in the store
they say it's about 3 days from ordering 'till receiving all that

Dan and I stopped at a random bottle shop that was pretty dirty. Scored a bottle of Orval from 2006 and a bottle of Hair of the Dog Adam. Batch 62, circa 2004 I think. I also snagged a dust covered bottle of a fantome saison. I'm pretty sure there were bottles of Duches, le trap and bernardus from 2000-2003 along with unmarked still natche and mad bitch by de molen. The idea of being able to score Belgian triples that are more than 6 or 7 years old hits me with a bit of reservation. That's awesome they are still around but cost a few bucks more and clearly were clearly stored in ideal circumstances for the past 5+ years. Buying them is a 60/40 chance I suppose.

Poop brewery fermentation status:

Triple ipa (to be transferred to secondary and dry hopped tonight)
Bryans triple ipa (same as above)
Chocolate stout (needs gravity reading and transfer to keg)
Lambic (needs fruit addition and new batch started)
Belgian single/wild (aging for awhile)
Wild stout (aging for 3 more months at least)
Wine: nearly forgot about that shit, need to do something with it.

Bourbon oaked quad is bottled needs carbonation time
Imperial brown (same as above)
Plain quad (lost cause, nearly flat in bottles but tastes good)
Oaked stout (keep away from Dan or it will be gone)
Berliner weisse (nearly gone in bottle form, have 2 kegs conditioning for warmer weather.)
Bryans Oaked disaster, 13% abv no style beer will go on tap soon
Belgian single is kegged and needs delivered to york

Need to do ASAP:
Brew 30 gallons for filling the brandy barrels
Bottle wine or back sweeten it for wife
Build a wooden rack to hold barrel aging beers

it was interesting... i would drink it sooner rather than later, honestly it is starting to turn. there is some soy sauce and oxidation starting to show it's ugly face in it

i bought a case of it a year or so ago and honestly never gave it much attention. i traded most of the bottles off and this is only the 2nd or 3rd one i drank myself. i have 2 or 3 left and i think i would rather trade them for the "rarity" factor than open them and drink it myself

Just found out that firestone walker is being distributed in PA come April 11th.

Debuting with FW14, Abacus and Double Jack. While this is awesome news I want to set fire to a bag of kittens. I just traded away some limited shit for bottles of Abacus...
