had this again last n8, gr8 stuff

Grabbed a six pack of Narragansett Summer Ale, was offered two new beers from Sixpoint so they could get some feedback on them.

Sweet Action - it has a sweet taste only in the beer sense of the word, the malt has a Belgian style sweetness to the grains without having the quality that reminds me of old damp wood and super-old buildings. Very smooth and clean, another one of the most drinkable beers that I have ever had. Comes in a 16oz can too, that's great.

The Crisp (Sehr Crisp Pilsner) - Very clean pilsner, a bit more hops than malt, low on the almost-grassy hop flavor that a lot of German pilsners have. Very clean mouthfeel, it is crisp but clearly biting, it doesn't have that mid-mouth punch that can overpower other aspects of the beer. I like this brewery.

I also had Magic Hat #9 in a can, it tastes as fresh as the kegs that were a day or two out of the brewery. Never had it this fresh in a bottle.

Decided to go home early and fix the pool filter.
Also acquired a growler of Iron Hill's limited release DIPA which will be consumed in about an hour care of my m8 who went to the release and gave me the growler at lonch. (which subsequently was the deciding factor in leaving work immediately.)

how old is the ghandi bot?

2 maybe 3 months, but honestly it doesnt have much dropoff...i had an original canning of it and it was still pretty fresh

and by fresh he means the fucking can of beer was 2+ years old and he said it tasted the same as the batch of cans he purchased that were only weeks old (mind fuck)

I vividly remember Dan telling me that he was at a bar and had a can of it that was more than a year old and it tasted nearly the same (IE, no hop drop off in flavor)

The original packaging of ghandhi bot was a plain silver 16oz can that just had a sticker slapped on it. Then they released it in new 12oz cans that were painted red. The cans you have were from the latest batch (however they just released a new batch that has clearly really been circulated yet outside of the greater CT area if I am clearly mistaken.)

cans are like 2 months old or something, but yeah adams right they were fridged the entire life and in the way back cold...

If there are fingers to be pointed it is at me. I am shameful for keeping them for weeks in my beer fridge without shipping them to you. My apologies to all involved. I will make it up via the next shipment.

its clearly bad, nor noticeably old. but i can certainly tell its clearly "brand new hops" ya know? though most never are (salem gets nothing that fresh..)

gandhi bot is is immortal, I also had one of those stickered cans and it tasted fresh. Nothing is quite the same as fresh on tap, but canned beer stays remarkably fresh a long as the temperature is fairly stable during storage.

this was one of the most strangely enjoyable brews i have had in a very long time
super complex sour that was like vanilla and cherry mixed with vinegar and oak

it looks like diarrhea toilet water though and was completely lacking in carbonation
