Whole Foods moved in down the street from work so I grabbed some of their featured products today. Got a $50 tip at work today so I had some money to spare and I grabbed some beers that I haven't had. Fairly large selection, a lot of standards, a lot of local stuff, only Elm City and Sea Hag from NEBCO though and the prices on that were high ($10/6pk) when it is usually 8-9 here and 7-8 a bit closer to New Haven.
I grabbed three of their featured products that were a good enough price to drink once, all of them are contract brews.
Copper Bell Lager - solid flavor, drinkable, works well to wash down food. Only costs $8/12pk so I am impressed at that price point. 4.5%ABV 148 calories, and there's a light variety that's 3.9%ABV and 96 calories, I'll try that as a session beer for when I'm broke and it is hot as fuck outside.
http://copperbellbeer.com/Four in Hand IPA - brewed by Genesee, nothing exceptional in a huge sea of IPAs but it is flavorful, moderately spiced, and a clean brew overall. $6/6pk so it's another good beer to fill out the lineup.
http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/four-in-hand-ipa/146709/St. Cloud Belgian White - A bit too heavy on the spices for a lighter flavor, it's like Blance de Chamblay lite left open in a spice cabinet overnight. I'll pass on this one.

Earlier this week I had...
Brooklyn Summer Ale (canned) - super fresh, another really good summer ale.
Newport Storm Summer Ale (IPA) - fucking awesome, clearly light enough to be a summer session beer, but it tastes really good.
Drinking gin and tonic now, going back to beer after this one. Haven't had it in a while so I grabbed a bottle of gin and some tonic water.
