Current average of legit beer related poops on this page is about 50/50. Need to bring this back on topic with some homebrew updates.

First ever barrel aged beer at the poop brewery was realized on Saturday. A 10% Belgian tripel went into an apple brandy barrel. Smelled and tasted amazing going in, have big hopes for the final product. The barrel itself smells of sex, absolutely amazing. Smoked will send confirmages on Friday

Belgian Tripel - aging in apple brandy barrel (10 gallons)
Imperial Stout - ready for apple brandy barrel (10 gallons)
Old Ale - ready for apple brandy barrel (10 gallons)

Currently fermenting/bulk aging
Belgian single collaboration project (5 gallons out of 55 being aged in a bourbon barrel) this will get 5 pounds of blueberries added depending on how sour it is.
Belgian single with a culture of brett (5 gallons)
Mock lambic just got 5 pounds raspberry added (once sour will bottle, 5 gallons)
Red wild ale (5 gallons, 100% fermented with Oude gueze de cam bottle dregs)
Wild Imperial stout (5 gallons, 100% fermented with Brett: smells/tastes of tobacco and leather)
Bryans abortion of a black IPA (unintentional infected and is a huge waste of space/resources)

Berliner weisse with lacto (soon kicked)

How was it?

I look at it this way. The cost of a trip around the world to the different beer destinations that I want to see would be several thousands of dollars. And honestly, the only thing I would do other than site see, would be drink the local beer that isnt available in the USA.

So, like it or clearly, this is my justification for spending the amount of money I do on trading beer. A bit excessive? Yup you better believe it. But in all honestly, I make a solid living where I have expendable money and it is the only hobby I really have.

If I want to be a dick about it, I could admit that I have several beers in my possession that would fetch hundreds of dollars if I ever wanted to get rid of them... and in all honesty its something I have been thinking a lot about doing.

No joke, a lot of the stuff I have I will probably never drink because I have associated a $ value to it and i cannot imagine ever bringing myself to drink a beer that I paid $15 for that I could resell for $150 or more.

Pretty fucking awesome. The best gose I have had to date. It was like a crazy hybrid of a hefeweizen meets belgian ale but with a light aftertaste of sea salt. I guess the best descriptor I can come up with is it was "savory." Thanks again man for everything you shared yesterday.
