Doing some fridge clean up since Dan dodged on Friday. Also, just realized I haven't drank a beer since Friday.

Other people's poops in this toilet caused me to revisit loose cannon for the first time in like 2 years. Nb at all.

Drinking a brew or two from the Alchemist tonight, maybe finally chat with joe on vent????

8.99 for mix a six?!?!?

Cute how the lowest I've seen that in PA was $12. Thanks for that 50 cent up charge per bottle because buying less than a case of anything in PA is taboo.

the only trouble is the average beers sit there for months/years. my local place stopped doing that a year ago because they still had 08 bottles floating around.
:donno:, its awesome for the consumer though

Sadly, the bottles from '08 were proelbay ipas or something that was clearly friendly to aging. Selling perishable products has got to be a bitch... You want to make enough to go around so that it's accessible but then a market gets flooded with options and your product goes to the wayside. By the time someone tries it, they get a negative opinion cuz its dated.

Mark my words, when I own a brewery no "drink me now" beer will ever see single serving packaging. Draft only. Only thing going in bottles will beer that can be aged.

the worst one of note was hercules ipa, bottled in like oct 08, was there until around the start of 2011. and yea, most were ipas because any stout/barleywine etc were snapped by me when is aw they were aged for me.

Dearest :joe: please propose a time that we can discuss the details of this weekends beer acquisition either on vent or via phone call.
I am for the most part available later this evening and Thursday evening if this is to take place on vent. A phone call on the other hand can be placed at your earliest convenience.

11/12/11 portland forcast:
high 49, low 46, 90% chance of rain
the thing to remember is if the temperature does clearly change at all during the day/night that means its raining the entire time
10.3mm precipitation forcasted

the good thing is the morning should be a little colder, moving to rain in the early afternoon. i should be able to get out of portland with little rain (likely just constant mist and low 40s.

get to hotd roughly 6:55
its 39 degrees
im roughly 50th in line
there is a light breeze
i stand in the same spot for 2 hours essentially delirious from cold/hunger/omg i have to poop a 4th time already just dontthinkaboutitdontthinkaboutitdontthinkaboutit
bye the time 9 rolls around there is probably 175-200 people in line
many people seem to find their way to the front from the one person in 3 that saved a spot
case after case of adam leaves the building (along with cases of fred and doggie claws, basically everyone initially walked out ith 3 cases and a six pack of ruth [i still need to try this!])
9:30 i actually get in the front door
9:37 i find out the credit line is to the left, cash only is a straight shot (i vaguely remember this from last year)
ask for a case of adam, case of fred, 12 doggie claws
she only charges me 415, i dont immediately notice
i step over to the pickup line (essential where the 2 lines kinda rejoin at the pickup table)
i read my receipt, see it says 1 case adam, 11 doggie claws :donno:
i turn around and order my case of fred - 140 w/ case discount (say fuck the one doggie claws missing, clearly worth the effort as there is obviously too much going on for 5 people to handle [2 credit tellers, one cash teller, one cash order puller, one credit order puller])
i get in the pickup line again
when i am next in line to pickup in the credit side of the pickup table, the one guy i always see helping says "stop selling adam!"
only roughly the closest 20-30 hear this, a collective gasp is heard
there is still roughly 50 people inside and 100 people outside
i am next on the credit side, the 3 guys behind me from outside are next on the cash side
he pulls my adam, my 11 (lol) doggie claws
credit order puller pulls the order behind me, only 7 left
cash order taker kinda walks back from the table, hes now a wallflower
i try to get the credit order puller to pull my second order (case of fred, yes i know its confusing there are 2 orders, they both have my last name so its a girls name spelled wrong yes thats me i show him my receipt repeatedly i cant get my case of fred)
my case of adam sits there, the 7 after me next to it, they search for 5 more to give the guy after me
the cash line, with the people from right behind me whilst outside stops in its tracks
they line up the credit sales receipts, they need like 5 more cases or something
i keep trying to get this dudes attention that i only need a case of fred
i want out before they take my case of adam away!
finally i get his attention, get my case of fred, and walk out with the last "legitimate" case of adam from the wood

i load my car at 10 and drive to salem to finally poop for a forth time today

finish pooping, go buy gas, grab a blueberry scone (i told adam bagel because i was driving and it was easier to type!) and a nice strong americano (its espresso and hot water fags, basically coffee on roids)
drive to oakshire
south side of eugine, bout 85 miles from north side of keizer
place is an aluminum pole building you would expect to see farm equipment in
its 12:30, people are eating and drinking already
get in line
spend 10 minutes in line, line barely moves
group infront of me does clearly care, they keep chatting
couple behind me moves to the side, goes inside, comes back out to say bottles are sold on that side, there is no line, this line if for tasters and growler fills
why the fuck is there clearly a sign, like even a simple piece of paper written on with a magic marker saying:
"bottles
------->"
tell the guy thanks for the info, go buy a case $180

drive to albany, get a burgerville bacon cheese burger and small chocolate shake
i start to clearly have the shakes because i finally ate something real after 12 hours and a pot of coffee and an americano
get home

first, im sorry for clearly pooping more details, was mostly just adam/dan/me through vent and texts
but basically 1/3 for each of us, though i did get 5 doggie claws for myself because its an amazing barley wine when its right
total tally:
415
140
180
-----

735/3 = 245 each
clearly terrible for a once a decade adam, once a year(?) fred, and first time ever hellshire II
