Bottled 24x 24oz + 2x 12oz and kegged 5 gallons of hoppy APA. We aimed to differentiate it by using citra hops, but pre-bottling, it matches up perfectly to the real thing :donno:
This beer was made in honor of three expecting couples who are close to us, so we're giving them 7 bombers each, then drinking the keg ourselves.

I wasn't joking in my poop either... Irish wonder wants to go as well. I want to be there when they open to enjoy some breakfast brews, eat breakfast and then possibly do some christmas shopping at king of prussia.

I went last year and it was pretty fucking awesome. The breakfast dishes they prepare to go with the beer is OFC. This year looks to be even better.

Reasons why I should have got here earlier: 2008 + 2009 mom.
People who got 2008 + 2009: 3 I think.

I did get 1 2010 and a case of 2011

first, im sorry for clearly pooping more details, was mostly just adam/dan/me through vent and texts
but basically 1/3 for each of us, though i did get 5 doggie claws for myself because its an amazing barley wine when its right
total tally:
415
140
180
-----

735/3 = 245 each
clearly terrible for a once a decade adam, once a year(?) fred, and first time ever hellshire II

just so its all together

12 moms @ 20 (you wanted 4?)
6 figgy pudding @ 15 (i may only be able to part with 2 of these)
6 imagine @ 7 (assume 3 for me, 3 for you?)

exactly how many of adam and fred were you and dan wanting? i cant tell who wants what exactly, or if im just doing 50% me, 50% you 2 (yes, you are a couple now)

I got called for an emergency request to do some work in 20 minutes moving a production database to a new server. I hope to get it done in an hour. When I am done I will get on vent so we can discuss.

ive never had anything quite like this
my initial reaction to mouthfeel is to compare it to chimay blue
the bourbon is really subtle, comes out more in the nose than the taste, but i dont think that takes away from this
pretty outstanding

Narragansett Porter is good this year, I like the chocolate and coffee flavors in it. Fits into my limited beer budget too.

kegged 10 gallons of fox grape berliner weisse
also kegged 10 gallons of pumpkin ale so that it can be ready to consume on thanksgiving

im clearly totally happy with the way the pumpkin ale turned out. the use of all those pumpkins made it come out almost with a veggie aspect instead of pumpkin. since i spiced it so lightly, that is hardly there as well. i added a couple of vanilla beans and i am contemplating adding some combination of cinnamon and ginger to try and give it more character. also note for next time, use more caramel malts

Local place is having a mystery/guess the beer contest, looking for leads on what it might be.

It's a collaboration between an East Coast brewery and a European brewer, the Euro introduced over 50 new beers in 2010 and is known for pushing boundaries. I had the beer described to me as being something like a saison with a bit of bubblegum taste :donno:

edit: pretty sure it's Broederlijke Liefde by De Proefbrouwerij with Brian O'Reilly of Sly Fox Brewing. http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/3521

Beer related to-dos:
Bottle the beer that has been barrel aged
Check acidity of wild fox grape Berliner
Get supplies for Bryan to brew on Friday
Build shelves in garage and another rack in shed
Put Dans beer in my fridge to drink on his birthday without him

Apparently that wasn't it. I'd have to actually make it down there if I really want to figure it out.
