Garrett Oliver can blow me. The man is intelligent as fuck and is the single most experience person of our time at masterfully pairing beer with food but I totally disagree wih his opinion on matters such as growler usage.

It's his whole thought process behind his beer being too good for growlers that has me agitated.

The last time I drank Molson Canadian, I bought it in a barn (that was converted to a liquor store) and drank it in the parking lot before the release party for The Acacia Strain's "Continent".

Any good breweries I should check out in/around Tampa? I may start indulging in this whole beer thing a little more now that I don't have rent to pay.

Are you serious? Because it is possible I am going to Tampa next year soley for a "beercation" with the family.

One of my favorite breweries is located in tampa: Cigar City
Half an hour away from that is another place I have been dying to visit: Peg's Cantina

zero hype my friend, they are the real deal

when their popularity exploded, they pretty much crushed my dreams. 750ml bottles of their limited stuff use to sit on our shelves at $7.50 to $9 a piece regardless of what it was. now they are closer to $30 and you have to be on a waiting list to buy any of them

i met the owner and the head brewer 2 years ago and they autographed a bottle of their batch 1 stout for me (yeah go ahead and laugh, im that much of a nerd.)

Yeah. I'm clearly into this like you guys I just guess at bars with a wide selection and hope for something I enjoy, or stick with something I know is consistent.

When do you think you'll be down here?

Most likely during the summer break. That way the wife doesn't have to take time off work.

Stop drinking so much on Thirsty Thursdays despite how pissed/stressed you are about work. Just because the weekend is a day away doesn't mean you should go to bed drunk and spend friday hungover.
