thoughts?

In hindsight, I feel like this version is like the normal ipa but with a stronger alcohol bite.

knowing how Gary has been trying to convert you into a fan of hops, I assume the first 3 listed will be EZ, the last one is a unique offering that almost reminds me of a triple/saison hybrid but without any good characters of either :P

victory braumeister pils is my favorite beer they make

The apple brandy blonde is limited to only 2 kegs worth and they refuse to fill any growlers so as many people who go to the pub can have it. I plan on drinking myself stupid depending on what else shows itself. Looking to head there on Sat, leave my house around 10 to get there when they open and proelbay hang around until 2 or 3

Na it was 2nd first wort hops, 1oz @60, 1oz@ 30, 1oz @20, 1 Oz @15. All I can remember off the top of my head. Hit an OG of 1.060 and plan to finish around 1.015, so the bitterness should clearly be overpowering considering the fwh and most are late additions.

You heard me. Never said it would be balanced. Going to put it into beer smith later and see what the estimated is.

Had to do something a little crazy considering 18# of hops was/is taking up a bit too much, Aka all, of my freezer space

My WAT was in regards to saying 2oz of FRH was going to make this clearly overpowering bitter. Unless you used just cascade/glacier in the first wort addition, this is going to be a bitter fucker. A gravity of 1060 with 2oz of fwh is already pushing 90 ibus without the 60 and 30 minute additions!

Beersmith calculates that it is ~150 IBUs. The FWH contributed ~40 ibus, the columbus on its own added 40 IBUs.

What hops were in your first wort addition? 150 ibus is fucking huge for a potential 6% abv brew... lol
that is like a "triple" ipa's hopping rate but only the strength of a normal ipa or strong pale ale

im clearly laughing at you, just trying to understand your palate calling 150 ibus clearly overpoweringly bitter with only 15 points of residual gravity :yay:

Also, bend brewing makes a berliner weisse??
:omg:

they are having a 6-course beer dinner May 14th and May 18th.
pick a date and ill buy you a ticket if you can send me a couple bottles of this !!!!

Bump for Joe as my offer is still valid and since May 14th has passed the next possible option is the 18th. Or wait, maybe this is released today? Will need to look up more info.

it looks like friday is just a dinner at 6:00 and an opportunity to try clearly only the collab blend brew but also some insane vintage hotd beers like batch 1 fred/adam.

I think the beer went on sale today at the brewpubs. Considering the last release and the way that went down...chances are this might be sold out already

i was under the impression collab 1 would be distributed like collab 2, aka for about 2 weeks.

:donno: I hope you are right. I read the "extremely limited" verbiage as: we only have a few cases, less than Adam from the wood and priced higher accordingly.

my wheat beer turned up 10,000,000 times better than my first batch. clearly as busy as I would have liked because I think I was scared that too much priming sugar this time. could use a little more hops but otherwise pretty good second try
