Christ on a cracker. Belmont has some.

Ive never heard of this brewery until today and just wasted an hour reading about their brewery philosophy and i am uber interested to say the least. Its like a glorified homebrewer. He goes out and handpicks fruit from the wild and when they bottle the beer, they use hemp twine to hold the cork in, instead of a wire cage.

This dude is dirty hippie to the extreme. I think a big reason why noone is talking about them is because how low key it is. Just wait until the name catches on or until one of their beers makes a "top 10 list" then the beer will be gn8 before hitting the shelves.

Drinking a hopslam from the bottle. It is surprisingly better than the draft I had last week. Wonder how old the keg was verse this bottle which was filled 16 days ago.

Good 'ol Columbus Ohio. If you wanted to plan something that could be arranged. You'd also be the first person I'd have met in person from the internet, unless you count Craigslist casual encounters.

Wait...what?

Ok, its prob farther than you would want to travel considering drinking is involved. Friday ill be in meadville, pa and saturday ill be in that same general area to visit other breweries. I was considering going to cleveland but there is plenty between meadville and Pittsburgh that I am yet to see which makes another 2 hour drive west hard to talk myself into.

Unfortunately yeah, with the drinking involved I have to say no for this one.

Soon though. It's about time I start meeting up with you people.

If you ever stop into Cbus -lunch or dinner date at Barley's. I think you'd like it.

Conway's Irish Ale 1 down the hatch, and I feel like gn8'ing.

This is probably due to having nothing but half a protein bar and 2 energy drinks during the day.

the only place i go to that has a website they keep relatively current is Als. And what he keeps current is whats on tap. Which I guess I could show you if you wanted growlers but I currently dont have anything but 2-liter growlers and of course they dont fit in a shipper without making modifications.

He does have bottles though of nearly everything on tap. So maybe if there is a brewery that interests you from this list, i could tell you what all is in stock in bottles or cans

is sunny-side up little amps bottled, or cask only?
or any other pizza boy beers you feel are worth trying.
can you get/how fresh is the two hearted?
idk what seasonals are available from bells, but ive generally liked what ive had from them.
is founders imperial stout out yet? ive never had the base stout.
ive noticed a huge circlejerk over vermont beers. any accessible that are worth trying?
two brothers: if cane and able is fresh-ish id take one of those. i love that beer.
and anything else you can easily get. as long as its clearly overly smoky or tart/sour ill proal like it.

sunny side up is cask and draft. however, some is currently aging in bourbon barrels and will be bottled in a couple months when ready. sunny side up is currently one of my favorite beers (overall, clearly just by them) All their other beers pale in comparison.

ill check on the 2 hearted what you think about hopslam?

clearly sure on the founders, ill check

if by vermont you mean hill farmstead, no

i am a horrible person and didnt look for these brews today. I arrived at the brewery late because of work going overtime. Got right to bottling another sour beer and 3 hours later we finished. Started bullshitting and drinking and before shit got crazy I pulled the plug and ran since i gotta get up early for work. i made a slight attempt to get into the bottle shop but the place was fucking packed so i dodged. i will investigate later this week

We (and by we I mean he) now has 4 different bottled offerings to be sold when the new building opens in april/may.
a peach/apricot sour, a tangerine sour, a bourbon barrel aged barleywine and a barrel aged triple with cocoa nibs. there is a porter and a coffee stout also aging in bourbon barrels along with a blueberry and cherry wild ale and then the rye lambic we brewed. that brew is still actively fermenting...probably wont get around to bottling that one for quite a few months

nothing says money money money like $650 for a sixtel of beer
65x 8oz pours is a smart move by whomever is in charge verse the fucking idiots who tried to sell first come first serve tickets to 64 people for 10 ounce pours back in the day or the dick fucks who did 100 people 6oz pours and drank so much of it before opening time that only 8o people got some

considering a sixtel is what? roughly 640oz that means zero, fucking ZERO spillage or someone gets fucked no lube
