i brought home a few bottles of mikkeller's beer geek brunch weasel
it's an american double stout that is brewed with coffee beans that have been eaten and shit out by weasels

supposedly the most controversial and tastiest coffee beans in the world

Stone Imperial Russian Stout is amazing. A local liquor store that is between a Chinese restaurant and a pizza place keeps it in the fridge, I usually drink one of those in the car while waiting for food next door.

thats a poor description, but i was initially surprised at how upfront the hops are, wasnt expecting that when i first saw it.

That's one of the better if clearly best black ipas on the market right now

haven't had the 2010 yet but I'm sitting on quite a few bottles of 08 and 09 for future consumption

Lol I think that you need to actually go to the brewery or one of their "outlets" to get the perfect storm, donno for sure
further investigation will take place as the time approaches

they have a vertical tasting at their brewery, thats the only place to get it unless its on the secret list at the special stores. if thats the case i will never get any of those beers as i dont actually like sitting around pretending i know something about beer to appease their sense of my worth just to give them even more money.

how was the 9000?

I drank one the day it arrived in PA and thought it was pretty good, this one (several months later) is even better. In a couple years it will be a super gz vn1. Right now it's drinking really hot, the 12.5% alcohol is all upfront and in your face. With time this is gonna really develope nicely.

They used molasses to bring up the alcohol level, it also dried it out a bit but there is enough residual malt in it that it's gonna get sweeter tasting with time. They also used licorice in it which pissed me of cuz I hate licorice but they used such a minimal amount that it is there but clearly overpowering.
