just made another double shot
need a new grinder
i just have some cuisinart one, it works great
i proal have the same/similar $40 as you (it was 40 when i bought it 5+ years ago),
http://www.amazon.com/Cuisinart-DBM-8-Supr.../dp/B00018RRRK/and i dont think you realize how spectacular the proper grinders in comparison.
what im saying is its sufficient, but by no means is it good. the finer the grind the less consistent the grind is from the cheaper machines. and too much dust on any setting by comparison.
yep, same exact thing. and i think the fine grind is fine... i donno how it could be any better
im clearly really trying to argue with you about a coffee grinder, but there is worlds of difference between this grinder and say,
http://www.amazon.com/Rancilio-Rocky-Doser...r/dp/B000AYWU9K.
its clearly a question of how fine, or how coarse, but of consistency in that setting. and static produced (though this has a lot to do with the quality and overroastedness of the bean). and that bit of powder that cheap grinders get mixed in. anyway, unless you have seen/tasted the difference its really a moot point.
