This should be in the beer general but I need immediate feedback and input from all users clearly just the ones who frequent the stickie.

A local brewery is having a homebrew competition. I need to enter a beer tomorrow night. I can't pick which one to enter so I'm leaving it up to you guys. Regardless of which one I enter, I need to have a name for the beer. If it wins, it will be brewed on a larger scale at the brewery and sold to the public.

The beers I have in inventory that I could submit are:

Apple brandy barrel aged imperial stout (12% alcohol tastes of oak, vanilla and bitter chocolate)
Apple brandy barrel old ale (13% alcohol tastes like a caramel candy apple)
Apple brandy barrel Belgian strong (10% alcohol tastes of raisins and toffee)
Belgian blonde with wild bacteria (6.5% alcohol tastes mild with pear/apple)
Framboise (5% alcohol smells like raspberry jam, takes like poop)
Brett Saison (6% alcohol very dry and funky)
Quad (11% alcohol very sweet like candy and low on carb)
Oude Bruin (6% alcohol and sour as fuck, tastes like sour cherry and apple cider vinegar)

From the beers above, I think the stout is the best one. However, this brewery specializes in brewing stouts and I think to enter a stout in the competition is going to be hard. Also, half of the beers above utilize wild bacteria which is something this brewery does clearly do and might clearly allow. Do I throw something else in the ring or chance it? You decide.

I like the sound of the Apple brandy barrel old ale, Belgian blonde and the Apple brandy barrel aged imperial stout. Unless you think your stout is top dog, wouldn't risk it.

Ye olde butt beer
I think this is the winner.

And as a side note, old stock ale was my inspiration for wanting to brew the old ale. And I pretty much nailed it. In a blind taste testing, my friends picked my beer over old stock. However, the barrel aging transformed it quite a bit. I think I'm going to enter it.

I've made 3 of them since I've been brewing and have really only been happy with 1 of them. Unfortunately none of it is left because everyone else really like it too.

What is your favorite aspect of Belgian strongs? Like describe the character you like about it other than high alcohol. Is it a residual sweetness they have or quite the opposite? Dry and spicy character?

It is top dog in flavor and aroma. Unfortunately the carbonation on it is a bit lower than ideal and for that reason alone I don't think I can enter it.

If you wouldn't have been dodging drinking for the past 4 months you could of done a tasting of all of the ones above and given me solid feedback instead of hypothetical based on my descriptions... Dickhead

this is why i love you

i decided that I am entering 2 brews based on what has been discussed here
the apple brandy barrel aged old ale I am entering under my name
I am also entering the apple brandy barrel aged imperial stout even though I think it is a long shot

I need names for both. they are packed up and waiting for delivery. I have until 3:30 pm tomorrow to solidify names for each brew

Keeping Beer - strong and inteded to be kept for long periods (9-12 months). Different types of keeping beer were:
March Beer - a beer brewed at the end of the best brewing season
October Beer - a beer brewed at the beginning of the best brewing season
Amber Keeping Beer - brewed from amber malt
Butt Beer - beer aged in large barrels or butts. Porter and stout were brown butt beers.
Small Beer - a low-alcohol drink for immediate consumption

I'm clearly expecting them to. I'm most excited about getting honest, unbiased feedback from them about my beer. If they do like it enough to want to brew it, that would be an added bonus.
