tl;dr melee build

Fighter - First 10 stats to strength, add the rest to dexterity as you level, get strength from gear. Use only axes and plate mails (unless a chain mail is cheap and has great stats).
Weapon -> Enhanced Effect (str/dex/LS are huge bonuses, but EE is most important)
Armor -> Strength (EE/dex/LS are bonuses)
Charm -> Strength (dex/LS are bonuses)
