i tried to change the map in console

nah its still up and running

what command did you use?

if you tried
map mapname

it would make you disconnect from the server and start up a local game on that map

thats what happened then

how do i do it properly

since beetlesmod isnt running because of the problem with steams goldrush update, you have to use remote console (rcon)

in console, type these 2 commands on seperate lines first
rcon_address 216.6.229.170
rcon_password password (will aim you the rcon password, keep private ofc)

then

rcon map mapname

what is rcon? how do I get there? I take it thats not dev console?

rcon is "remote control" for server control
it is accessed/used via the developer console, just the triggers for commands all start with rcon

some one plzzzz take server off toy fort lol and what happen to the fast spawn etc?

bah, I saw this last night and forgot to make a post about it
iI also noticed that there are many other public servers that are currently labled as fast respawn but they are not functioning correctly with the respawn times

no working mods = vanilla server

I am pretty sure you need to change the map or restart the server. Because the map is hung up on cycling nothing but the toyfort map.
