Updates to Team Fortress 2 have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The specific changes include:

Added Sniper/Spy milestone achievements as an additional way players can get the new unlockables

Arena Mode

Added tf_arena_use_queue server convar. Turn this on to get the old queue behavior. Default is off

Added tf_arena_round_time to set a timelimit on the round

Added the userid of the player who built the teleporter to the "player_teleported" event

Fixed player killed event causing server crash

Fixed Spies not being telefragged when standing on an enemy teleporter exit with the Dead Ringer enabled

Fixed attackers seeing the mini-crit particle effect for full crits if the victim has the Jarate effect enabled

Fixed the Ambassador not doing damage to buildings

Fixed Spies disguised as their own team not drawing blood effects

Fixed players killed by flaming arrows not showing the appropriate death icon

might just be me, but ambassador still isnt damaging buildings

on the plus side, got another 1x of each sniper weapon, a jarate and cloak & dagger on top of that, backburner, ubersaw, and another ambassador

just gonna work on like two more spy achievements, get my dead ringer

saw a fatty in game today with a helmet on and it completely caught me off guard

also was nice to be able to shoot a player in the face and hit 2 achievements and get both the jarate and huntsman

and engi and demo together sounds like a solid plan, leaving soldier to be on its own because even if everyone is soldier, the game is still p balanced and flows well

Its only used againist the spy..and aginist everyone else you slow down...mean you're less affective with dealing with them.
You have no mid range wep making you useless there.

well, the huntsman is p much all ranges, and no scoping isn't too hard if they're not a scout

Still..I think its bull shit sniper gets 1 thing thats ment only for spys...and every other unlock is for everyone else.
It should make everything do less damage...or be hidden so spys cant see it.

well asides from other snipers, spies are really the only thing that has a chance of getting close to a sniper

it's pretty balanced, but i'd rather use jarate all the same

the ability to drown yourself/others in piss to put out fires is too great to pass up

huntsman doesn't have a scope, but no scoping with a sniper rifle isnt too hard if you're not against a scout

its possible, but bodyshots are easier achieved whilst noscoping ofc

huntsman is like 3/4 of the cheap kills right now. I love/hate that a sniper can whip out a headshot without having to fire at your head

I'll be getting the game in the future ofc.

But when I did spend the 20 hours on the free trial. Those were the only 2 characters I liked.

i would like the huntsman so much more if i wasn't so damn connected to the sniper rifle

i find it awkward to aim with how the arrow curves, i can't seem to do it correctly

Yea it occurred to me last week that the smg may in fact heal your opponent instead of dmg them.
