Castle Poorly-setup is a success, I'm only a few squares away from inland and I haven't seen a single zombie. Just finishing it up, spamming torches, adding multiple layers of glass floors, and then I'll upload the file.

Level size stats
A fully explored minecraft map would take up somewhere between 100 and 200 petabytes. That’s 100,000-200,000 full 1TB disk drives.

Infdev update: trees and furnaces
Infdev’s been updated:
* Working tile entities (furnaces, chests)
* Trees and forests
* Way fewer crash bugs
* Ore (just randomly placed at the moment)
Next up is tile ticking (farms, spreading fire, that stuff) and level saving/loading.
Left to do after that is splitting out the level generator code into a separate thread to avoid the choppy framerate when moving into unexplored areas, adding cave generation code, making the water dynamic again, and writing a level importer.

Apparently if you close a furnace window you lose everything that was inside.

We've now got the working server commands for spawning and shit, so now I don't have to hurt my wrist copy pasting the same line in the GUI version for hours at time.
Command list is...
Commands:
All:
#summon <item-id> [<count>]: Summons count or 1 of item-id.
#summon <kit>: Summons a set of items defined in kits.txt.
#list: Lists connected players.
#time: Displays the server time.
#uptime: Displays server uptime.
Trusted:
#summon: Can summon blacklisted/unwhitelisted items if fun is enabled. Non-blacklisted/whitelisted items if fun is disabled.
Admin-only:
#fun: toggles "fun" game-breaking commands such as #summon. Fun mode is DISbled by default as of the third release. NEW BEHAVIOR: When fun mode is on, trusted players can summon blacklisted items. When it is off, they can summon any non-blacklisted items
#kick <player>: Obvious
#ban/#unban <player>: Bans/unbans players. That easy. This is not available on white-list banning servers (as it does not make sense)
#allow/unallow <player>: Allows/disallows players from joining. This is only available on white-list banning servers.
#trust/#untrust <player>: adds/removes player from trusted list
#blacklist/#unblacklist <item-id>: prevents/allows players from/to summon a given item-id. This is not available on white-list summoning servers.
#whitelist/#unwhitelist <item-id>: allows/prevents players to/from summon a given item-id. This is not available on normal, non-white-list summoning servers.
#admin <player>: makes player an admin
#reload/#save: reload/save the *.txt files.
#stop: Stops the server.
#give <player> <id> <count> // #give <player> <kit>: Gives the specified player count * id or a kit.
---
Trusted can be ignored, as we're all automatically admin.

Also, the server has some custom kits. The first word is the word you type after #summon, so if you wanted a set of tools, it'd be #summon toolkit.
armor 310 311 312 313 \\ Full set of diamond armor
torches 50 50 50 50 50 \\ Five torches, you can just do #summon 50 64 if you want.
toolkit 279 278 277 293 333 50 50 50 50 50 \\ A full set of diamond tools and five torches.
food 322 322 322 322 322 \\ Five golden apples, each heals 10 hearts
