But for a general idea.

AP = 21/0/9

Tank Jungler = 0/21/9

AD Jungler = 21/9 or 21/0/9

AD 21/9 or 27/3 getting the +6 armor

Support you can run a variety of stuff but I either run a 0/21/9 for aggressive or do 0/3/27.

Champions like Ryze/Heimer who don't benefit as much from offensive, go 9/0/21.

the 9 points in utility dont look nearly as attractive as the old masteries did

i would rather have the 4 armor/magic resist, 6 health per level and +30 flat health from defense

and 30/0/0 on tryndamere i think

You take utility only for MS/Buff duration or the flat 3 mana regen or if you want the increased stuff on flash/teleport.

Which is good on tank junglers and champions like Ryze who gets 216 mana from the utility tree and ms and reduced cooldowns.

I mean 9 into the defense tree can work too. I just like the buff duration/mana regen on my ap mids.

If you are running an AP like Kennen, I'd just run 9/21 to get magic pen and then the defensive stats since I am energy based. Do the same for Rumble.

finally rounded out my support cast with some sona games
won 3 out of 4 tonight with friend playing sivir (won our lane by a landslide every time)
she is more fun than janna simply because she has great early game harrass
q with the power chord is like half your life at level 1
then as long as you land some decent ults in team fights and ward you are credit to team

with new support masteries i can buy 4 wards at start
warded our lane bush depending on the other teams bot lane comp, warded tri brush if we were the top of the map team, warded dragon
enemy ganks, nope
also started making mental notes of enemy wards that i saw laid of 3 mins later time
need to get better at noting dragon respawns though

i'm pretty fucking good at ap/ad carries now

way better than i am jungling (team reliant IMO)

You can carry pretty hard from the jungle, and if you know how to engage team fights, you can win games simply because of that.

Pretty much engaging a team fight is my best and most favorite thing to do in this game.

Which is why Alistar/Maokai/Skarner are like my best champions.

sona is the easiest faceroll support, it is almost impossible to play her terrible

cass is a soft ap carry unless they chagned her drastically, you wont win with a good cass alone

Cass has the highest sustained ap damage of any AP in the game.

She is also the most dominant AP mid in the game with the highest skill cap.

And also she is even more crazy with the change of red buff apply the slow on single target spells.

Any champion that has the possibility to stun the entire team for 2 seconds is not a soft AP Carry.

for example if youre against alistar jungle you can expect to be camped 24/7
you just have to do your best to farm and reach late game

how does one even get back into this game after a year off and 97 new characters?

i just did a few nights ago

just assume the new heros are giant faggots that can instantly kill you, which is easy because thats what most of all the characters are anyway

i like the fact that i get to duo queue with someone once every 3 months

i have no friends in game because i rage at everyone because they always suck and the ones that dont suck, i have no desire to try to add them and play with them afterwards
