turn 838
napolean completes the apollo project
i lead the world in culture, i have 2+ 5/6 social policies
i have 33% more production than the second place civ
i dont get why science is so completely out of whack on the huge maps. make 37 shitty little cities and somehow that equates to a huge science bonus, but not anything else.
maybe i need to try earth on a setting less than huge
exploration is a big factor on science in huge earth, since techs gets cheaper the more iscovered civs that has already researched that tech
i get that, but it does not jive that the civ with 10x the military and has 10-20 puppet cities, and many others still in revolt, smokes everyone in science. it just seems that the base bonus to having a city is out of whack on a huge, marathon game. culture cant even come close to keeping up with the pace of science. by the time he finished i will have 3-3.5 social policy trees complete.
there is a strat thats based off of this anyway, insane city sprawl. i wonder if normal game pace will have any effect, or if its purely the size of the map that allows so many cities to exist.
