I played this when I first tired of Diablo 3 and loved it, but like Duped said it's so deep that it's almost too confusing for a casual player.

That's actually an old screenshot, the skill sphere-whatever-thing is even bigger now.

I haven't even played it since I posted about it back when I first paid the $5 or $10 for beta. I have watched Kripp a little bit, in that HC level challenge. The thing that makes me want to believe in this game is the community, and how they actually host regular events and actually care about their supporters.

The cutthroat league is what mostly interests me, but I doubt I'll really get into the game at all.

Yeah the skill system is pretty cool.

I never really got too big in it. I played it for a month with a friend. We got to maelstrom of chaos and basically once we had builds able to do it, didn't play much more after that.

I'll play it until I get bored of it again.

the wardens dungeon is awesome, and makes d3 seem pathetic

its a full open beta, i dont think it ends until it goes live

servers are full, you are # 18,000 in line

so, this has enough d2-style feel that its awesome and reminiscent of how much fun it was to play d2 8 years ago, but different enough to not feel like a clone. the leveling of gems, and that gems are the skills, and that your skill tree is all passive is pretty unique and well done.

so far im a fan

This is open beta so I'm pretty sure this is permanent until the game is completed and released as a final product.

This beta won't end to the public and I'm pretty sure that was the last character wipe.

Game gets better later on it seems, and much more fun with friends.
started a new char and now a lvl 30 Ranger

p sure building pure offense is wrong, cant beat the siren
and cant kite cuz that fucking hand that puts the slow debuf on you

got cold resist, hardly took damage
good fight

might do a micro transaction just to give them some money, having a ton of fun so far
but then again i play games for a few hours then grow bored. shalst see

they have basilisk pets

thats their entire business plan though, all transactions are pure cosmetic.
and no bonus xp or anything. only pets/skins/more stash (yea, you could argue this point but really its only advantageous if you play multiple chars at which point giving them 5 bucks is proal the right thing to do)

There is never going to be another item wipe. This is basically almost the full launch of the game.

also important, do you have to play the same content 3 times over as "progression"? i think it would really be nice for a game of this style to not have multiple difficulties of the same shit whilst on your way to levelcap
