If I were to cut a coconut up and use it as a cup for some sort of alcoholic drink, what do you suppose would be the best to mix into it?

I would choose rum. A flavored rum is not a neccessity, however it can be good for certain recipes. Most types of Rum will go into this well, however, I would not advise using Bacardi. That's better served with carbonated soft drinks. Any alcohol specific questions may also be asked.

I would also go with some type of fruit juices as a mixer. If you'd like recipes, feel free to Google them or ask me for recommendations. I was a Tiki Bartender once upon a time, so I know the fruity tropical drinks pretty damn well (I don't drink them however).

Rum Runners

2 Parts OJ
2 Parts Pineapple Juice
1/2 Part Banana Liquer
1/2 Part Blackberry Liquer
1/2 Part Myers Dark Rum
1/2 Part Light Rum (Any)

Mix all of that together on ice, then add a teaspoon or so of Grenadine for coloring.

You will be the shit at the party, not to mention the drunkest. Women will love your playful sense of humor as you spill your lethal cocktail all over them while wearing your Hawaiian shirts.

Malibu or Parrot Bay Coconut with Pineapple Juice

You can use Cranberry, Orange, Pineapple almost exclusivley with Rum. They will all work well with a nice flavored Rum.

Meyers is a bit strong if you use it on it's own, but if you just throw a little in for flavoring it can be good. I definately recommend and aged Rum that's made somewhere outside the US / Puerto Rico. Try to find some VEnezuelan Rums at your liquor store.
