Ill probably folow hockey this year since i get versus now
OK but I'm going to hate you if you are a fan of a team in your state.
why
Flyers: It's a division rivalry and it goes back to the 70s when they were known as the "Broad Street Bullies". Their physical play is so brutally violent that during the Cold War, the Red Army Team once left the ice and refused to play after one of their players was injured by a Flyer. This led to the infamous announcement "they're going home!".
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sQ5YKQrEqRkThey are also known for priding themselves on being overly aggressive and they pride themselves on it to the extent that they're cool with intent to injure outside of the rules of the game.
And there's the rivalry:

before this season even started)
PenguinsI hate the Penguins because Sidney Crosby gets too much attention as well as favoritism, and because the Penguins are promoted by the NHL, the team has unfair decisions made in their favor, such as not firing Penguin Matt Cooke into the sun for his long history of intentionally injuring other players. Basically, Crosby is the poster boy for the NHL and while he is one of the best, I think he gets too much attention. Due to him being a highly marketable player, the NHL tends to favor the Penguins.
-Crosby diving:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7cZ5Bd0x9bE (rather than a suspension to Crosby, Callahan got a penalty)
Cooke is the most notorious dirty player who repeatedly recklessly/intentionally hits players in the head. This year there are serious reforms to the league's disciplinary system, and Cooke is the poster boy of what not to do.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVxh3oWMNS8 (Drury almost never fights, punching a guy when he is on the ice is extremely dangerous and unacceptable)
-The most infamous hit in recent history:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kaG4GSyQ-tQ - No penalty was called, no other discipline was given. Savard's concussion was so severe that he was unable to attend the Bruins championship banner-raising today. That happened in March 2010, his victim can't attend an event because he can't be around bright lights.
-Here's a five minute compilation of countless examples of Cooke injuring other players with knee-on-knee hits, hits to the head, and shoving them into the boards when they are vulnerable:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0waePHWjVGYFinally, there was a game full of cheap shots, players nearly getting killed, tons of fighting, and lots of nasty stuff between the Penguins (one of the best teams in the league) and the Islanders (one of the worst teams in the league for years). The Islanders certainly didn't behave themselves, and the game was incredibly violent (and ended up with the Islanders winning 9-3). You can probably guess that this is bad because I'm a die-hard Rangers fan and I am supporting their local rivals.
Here's a 17 minute highlight reel of the game that was so violent that a replay was pulled from TV this summer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=puMana_bq1oPenguins owner and hockey legend Mario Lemieux then used his status to complain about how the league handled the on-ice altercations (which included several long suspensions): "The NHL had a chance to send a clear and strong message that those kinds of actions are unacceptable and embarrassing to the sport. It failed."
This guy's team had Matt Cooke designated as an alternate captain, as a leader and someone they want to represent the club. They also recently extended Cooke's contract for a few more years.
So, that's why I hate the two hockey teams in your state.
