in reality manning is a top 5-7 qb. just because i happen to have 2 top 5-7 qbs i should trade one at a value of a backup?

value isnt a binary starter or backup, i offered better than for a backup and even included a great backup qb with it, but that was the best i could offer without it being an elite player

maybe after this weeks games some of our players values will change and something thats more fair will come up

you want an elite player and not offer an elite player?
thats the point. mannnings value is not one based off of his standing as my backup. hes 6th overall in points this season. just because i happen to have the #2 overall ahead of him does not make his value that of a backup. you know this, man.

is anyone else in a position to trade for him? you can keep a top 5 qb as your backup if you think thats worth more than my offers

gary, dan, or lance are the only people who would use peyton as a starter, and any trade stock they have will be sacrificing more points than the upgrade at qb they get

i cant even believe you think you are justified in asking for the 6th highest scoring player of the season and in return you offer not a single player that will start. yes, ill keep him on my bench because you dont think he is worth a wr that has half of mannings season points. im baffled you think manning is a backup value player.

why would i want to exchange my backup qb for your qb? thats not logical. for me to trade you something you kinda have to offer something i might need. exchanging backups is not something i need.
w/e, ill trade manning to whoever you are playing

bears defense 125 points on the season, 15.6 per week
green bay defense 59 points on the season, 8.4 per week
difference of 7.2
bears d would become your starter, +7.2 points

manning 230 points, 32.8 per week
ben 212 points, 26.5 per week
difference of 6.3
ben roethlisberger would be on your bench where peyton was, difference of 0 points

how is that trade a negative for you

but on a serious note
regardless of how much better peyton might be than eli, or any other QB: everyone needs WR

monday night might be the last game vick plays this season, too much of a risk to be a fantasy qb, but that being said he is averaging just over 27 points per week

disagree
a mediocre QB puts up 15-25 points
3 mediocre WR put up like 6-12 points combined

thats my point

you can pick up a free agent qb and start him and get 20 points, if you pick up a free agent wr, youre probably looking at 0-5 points
trading away a wr who is good for 15 points per week consistently is a big loss

defences get 10 points at the start of the game for holding the other team to zero points so far

titans have 2 points which i thin is still 7 points for the defense, so the bears d have really only scored 24 points in the first quarter
