If a duck loses another national championship game, do the quacks stop talking about how great they are?

No fuck wvu more because now people will think this win legitimizes wvu as a offensive power in the b12 with no defensive tests...and they still don't have a defense since they are putting up big numbers because they have to in order to stay in the game without playing d. They only beat Naylor by 1 score and same with texas

yea, the #1 problem with the ducks will be turnovers. usually a product of running 50+ plays a game.
well, really the #1 problem will be size whenst playing those massive sec linemen. its everyones biggest weakness really, the sec just breeds those huge linemen that dominate .

we, as reasonable people, see that the big 12 is nothing more than a glorified acc. everyone knows their defense is basically shit and couldnt even compete with the big 10, let alone pac 10. its like the big 12 all sat down and decided that it was ok to let each other do 7 on 7 drills all game and no one would notice.

Obviously not buying Florida as a conteder, but maybe in a few seasons.

LSU has been overrate, I think we knew that the last few weeks.

Ducks aren't bad, duh, just don't see them being able to compete with Alabama at the line of scrimmage.

B12 sucks, defense wins games, not offenses playing joke defenses.

B1G is just pitiful, sad really, they have too much history to be so weak.

Etc

Assuming you mean big 10 for last one?

I think that its sad that 2 of the possible better teams are not eligible to win...and with all the shit that's gone on for Psu to be doing as well as we are vs them is just sad honestly

slow down sport, you are not "doing well". youve beat nw and illinois. now you aint doing bad but you aint beat anyone yet (yes, nw potentially is good this year; illini will always be an enigma as long as they have a 5'7" running qb who is not really that fast and does not posses that strong of an arm). i congratulate you on beating navy and temple though. high five

its way too early to know anything other than osu still is proal the most talented team and everyone else is trying to figure out if they are good enough to not fuck up (since no one really posses a good qb this is really a crap shoot at this point).

Yeah you're right, losing leading Rb, wr's, and other players and still even winning games is not doing well for everything that has happened

the parity in cfb is actually quite impressive. outside of the 4 top sec teams and your random 1-2 teams in other conferences (ducks/osu/sooners in recent years) cfb has great parity and "anybody can beat anybody" certainly happens more today than, say, when i was a kid watching football.

I don't know how colleges can recruit right now when all of Nick Saban has to do to recruit is tell a player that if he goes to Alabama, they are going to play for championships and be playing in the NFL

I don't know how colleges can recruit right now when all of Nick Saban has to do to recruit is tell a player that if he goes to Alabama, they are going to play for championships and be playing in the NFL

He only has xx of scholarships

nd was the first real causality of the declining recruitment power of the old guard. im not sure if he was good or not but he certainly paid the price.

first thoughts (i havent seen the full ducks game yet);

washington wil lbe ranked by seasons end [they beat stanford, they scored on us. arizona couldn't do that]
arizona is good

alabama + oregon > cfb. if that isn't the title game i give up on football

sec is probsbly as deep as pac-12, more defensively focused. i still think pac-12 comes out on top if they'd play each other straight up

Arizona is not good. Obviously we now know Stanford isn't either, and that means USC is even worse.

UC now ranked.

Fact the big east now has 3 teams ranked (4 if you count Boise who will be there next year)
Big 10 has 2 teams, one which can't even go to a bowl this year

Let that sink in for a minute
