who here will be like me and not vote, hoping by stroke of luck the country decides bush is going to be better than anyone else.

about a year after this election and inauguration, i bet any money that this will be the general consensus.

i mean seriously, look at the jokesters:

romney - mormon, so conservative utah might even explode
(hick)abee - was a preacher, thats a definite no (see al sharpton)
giuliani - republican yet likes abortion. divorced hundreds of women. has a radioactive chunk of metal in his prostate (idiot).
thompson - best friend
ron paul - you have 2 first names you piece of shit, fuck off
mccain - how the fuck do you not know the beach boys song barbara anne

clinton/obama - minority ticket hopefulls, yet total do-nothings
edwards - just a pretty face
kucinich - LOL

conclusion: OH GOD DONT CARE
tl;dr -> don't vote this election unless you're nulling

bush is not better then any of them.

except maybe giuliani. a conservative who is pro-abortion is ok in my book.

on the same token, repubs make everyone in the world hate us, and are only good at building an army.

the answer lies somewhere in the middle, though individual issues need action from a given spectrum.

and there are always interesting conflicts coming up. welcome to the world.

tl;dr -> don't vote this election unless you're nulling

Romney- Palagamist Mormon whos grandparents fled the country when the anti-paligamy laws were put in place.

Cluckabee- Fat Preacher, whos whole campaign revolves around losing his weight

Guiliani- Two Face republican sissy. Cant work under stress and resigns. o_o

Thompson- Just because Swarchzanigro did it, doesnt mean you can.

Ron Paul- Show a picture of him to people, most think hes GWB. I think people only like him because of Sean Paul.

McCain- Do you EVER move your top lip?

Clinton- Youll embarass Bill, im sure he doesnt want to be the first lady.

Obama- Affirmative Action

Edwards- Your accent makes me want to tenderize my brains with a meat hammer

Kucinich- You suck, you told your supporters you were gonna lose and to vote for obama.

Thats the way I see it

all in how you shake it.

p.s. "balancing" implies going nowhere but backwards.

hard to go forwards and onwards if youre going backwards to status quo

we're better off now than we were in 2000, all I'm sayin :P why should we balance back to that so someone else has to pick up the pieces

I don't mean it that way. but you can't have, under our current system, too many years in a row of the same policies. and I am ofc talking about domestically, as dems usually care more about that then foreign policy. the middle class suffers under republican rule, and the middle class is what makes america prosper. we are not better off now as in 2000, though it depends on your criteria ofc.

I've met more hot straight girls at LP events than at gay pride parades, I've consumed more beer at LP events, and I beat a congressional candidate at basketball.

Have a good time, meet idealistic people (a handful of whom are attractive + female), have a few beers, and play basketball for fun.

Hell the repubs need more time to fix what it took bill to fk up in the 8yrs he was there.. Just like slavery you cant expect it to stop over night.

you are the most faggot republican I know

republicans and democrats both do more bad than they do good. pretty much the only good thing they both do is preventing the others from doing as much bad as they want to.

tl;dr

Actually I really have no opinions on politics at all.

Really can't find a reason to care. Seems like no matter what we vote, we can't do anything.

There are too many idiots for non idiots to do much of anything as far as a majority vote, it's all about convincing them that you know what's best for them and them letting you make decisions for them.

yeah fuck off, wrong thread

I would vote for him over not voting. Then again if there isn't a good Libertarian candidate I'm not voting.

might as well not vote, they dont even win states

Yeah but it's good to have a decent showing, the party is growing very quickly, and Libertarian Election Day parties are fucking awesome.

so are gay pride parades

Nowhere near as good.

they're like the same thing i dont see your logic

I've met more hot straight girls at LP events than at gay pride parades, I've consumed more beer at LP events, and I beat a congressional candidate at basketball.

exactly what i want from politicians

also exactly why i dont even think of that party as a respectable political party

Have a good time, meet idealistic people (a handful of whom are attractive + female), have a few beers, and play basketball for fun.

who here will be like me and not vote, hoping by stroke of luck the country decides bush is going to be better than anyone else.

about a year after this election and inauguration, i bet any money that this will be the general consensus.

i mean seriously, look at the jokesters:

romney - mormon, so conservative utah might even explode
(hick)abee - was a preacher, thats a definite no (see al sharpton)
giuliani - republican yet likes abortion. divorced hundreds of women. has a radioactive chunk of metal in his prostate (idiot).
thompson - best friend
ron paul - you have 2 first names you piece of shit, fuck off
mccain - how the fuck do you not know the beach boys song barbara anne

clinton/obama - minority ticket hopefulls, yet total do-nothings
edwards - just a pretty face
kucinich - LOL

conclusion: OH GOD DONT CARE
tl;dr -> don't vote this election unless you're nulling

its not a solution not to go to elections
if in your opinon there is no worthy candidate, then by not going and voting
you only make whole situation even worse
think about every bad situation that it can be much worse
so in your place, betwin two bad things i would chose less bad one

Such an optimist, its depressing.

You do know how USELESS the Electoral College system is right?

With this system, a given candidate only needs to win 11 states to win the presidency. Only 29% of the popular vote. Now tell me that wouldnt make your vote worthless.

Fuck the electoral college, nobody decent will get more than 5% of the vote, and likely much less.
