I. Agreeing to Follow Rules and Policies[/center]

Post must be on-topic. By on-topic we mean that the content is relevant for the forum it is posted in. Off-topic posts are moved to appropriate forums by the moderators. A verbal warning may be issued, followed by an official warning, and if behavior continues punishments may be issued.

Post must not be a flame. By flame we mean any topic that is insulting or degrading another member for any reason. Topics may be deemed as a flame if they are off-topic and directed at another member. A verbal warning may be issued, followed by an official warning, and if behavior continues punishments may be issued.
3. No discussion of the use, how to create, or where to find hacks or exploits for any multi-player game. This is a bannable offense.4.
No trading of hacked or massively duped items. The specific trade rules are found as a pinned topic in the individual trade forums. These trade rules are enforced in all the forums. Violations of the trade rules result in anywhere from verbal warning, official warning or temporary ban, up to even permanent ban on first offense. Ignorance of the trade rules is no excuse.

Intentionally posting multiple posts or topics that contain the same content or similar content is considered spam. Spam posts are deleted on sight, and the poster will receive an official warning and/or ban. Posting commercial spam for other sites or products is bannable on first offense.

Personal attacks, modification of a user's image, impersonation, posting private information, posting a users photograph without permission, are all punishable with up to a permanent ban on first offense.7.
Links to other websites that contain binary files are not allowed, unless this site is a confirmed trusted site. Links to binary files that look suspicious or are Trojans/viruses will result in a permanent ban. Links to promotion sites or referral type-sites are not allowed. Linking to such sites will result in an official warning and/or ban.

Any impersonation of a user from these forums, in any mode of communication, is strictly prohibited and will result in a banning.9.
No crude or offensive language/images are allowed in posts. It is at the sole discretion of the moderators/admins to decide what is excessive. No pornographic or sexually suggestive language or images are allowed anywhere on the forum. Posting such content will result in an official warning and/or ban on first offense.

No links to auction sites selling D2 items, or any other website that sells D2 items for money. Links will be removed and an official warning issued. Subsequent offenses will result in a ban.

Rule violations will be enforced against any and all accounts a user may have. If you have more than one account and break a rule on one of your accounts, any and all of your accounts are liable, and will be held up to the same or additional enforcement.

You may not use swear or curse words in your topic title. You may use them sparringly as appropriate in your actual post, except where prohibited. First offense will be a verbal warning, repeat offenses will result in suspension or access loss.

-Signature and Avatar Rules- [/center]

No crude, offensive, sexually suggestive, or pornographic language or images allowed. We reserve the right to remove your signature/avatar rights without warning. We also reserve the right to edit your profile information to remove the offensive content. You may or may not receive a warning first.

No links to binary files or sites that contain binary files. Exceptions are sites that are considered trusted. Links to confirmed Trojans will earn you a permanent IP ban. Non-Trojan or virus links will result in removal of links and official warning. If repeated your rights to have a Signature and Avatar will be permanently removed.
3.
No links to auction sites that sell D2 items for money or any other site that sells D2 items for money. First offense will result in removal of links, and any subsequent abuse will result in removal of your rights to have a signature/avatar.
4.
No mislabel/deceptive links to any site for any reason. Offending links will be removed followed by a warning, if it continues rights to have a Signature and Avatar will be permanently removed.
5.
Links to promotion sites like shithead or referral type-sites are not allowed. Offending links will be removed followed by a warning, if it continues rights to have a Signature and Avatar will be permanently removed.
6.
The entire size of your signature should not exceed 400 pixels wide by 150 pixels high. Large sections of text that extend the height well past this will be removed and a private message warning issued. Continued abuse of the size will result in your rights to have a Signature and Avatar being permanently removed.
7.
Text sections of your signature should not exceed 6 lines of text if you include no images, and 3 lines of text if you have an image. 8.
Total size of the images contained in your signature or avatar should not exceed 50 kilobytes for the avatar and 70 kilobytes for the signature. Offending images will be removed followed by a warning, if it continues rights to have a Signature and Avatar will be permanently removed.
9.
Any offsite linked image that takes longer then 30 seconds to load is not allowed. You will be warned.

-Private Message and E-mail Rules-[/center]
1.
Using the private message system or e-mail form to harass or threaten other members is bannable on first offense. 2.
Sending spam, commercial announcements via the e-mail or PM system is bannable on first offense. 3.
Sending unsolicited links to pornography or other crude content, is bannable. 4.
Links to outside files, binaries. Bannable first offense. 5.
Selling anything for money is not allowed. Bannable on the first offense. This includes, but is not limited to, selling items via paypal.

-General Forum Policies-[/center]
1.
Forgotten Passwords: The forum provides a method for
Recovery of Passwords you will need to use that form. If that fails, or the e-mail address on your account is invalid there will be no way to get your password reset. The forum doesn?t store your password in a readable manor, and the admins have no way to verify your identity. The admins will not recover your lost password or reset it for you.
2.
Banned Accounts: If your account was banned for any reason, placed in the 'banned' user group, it will never be restored for any reason. For violation of the forum rules your account will be banned. In all but the most severe cases, you will be allowed to reregister an account on our forums providing that you follow the rules with your new account. The old account won?t be deleted, nor will the e-mail address be changed. You will have to use a new e-mail address for the new account.

IP Bans: If for some reason you violated the rules severely enough, your IP address will be banned. These IP bans are effective on all our websites and will not be removed.
4.
Loser Group: If you violate enough rules you may have your account placed into the 'loser group.' This group prevents you from posting anywhere but the battle forum. You'll also find some other forum features disabled for you. This group placement is usually temporary, if you can prove that you can be a beneficial member of the forum community you can request to be removed from the loser group. For some users who have shown no willingness to be a contributing member of the community they will forever remain in the 'loser group.'
5.
Stealing/Scamming: If you choose to steal or scam items or accounts from our forum members you will be immediately banned from our forum. This includes scamming them out of forum gold, money or any other conceivable method to scam someone.
6.
Forum Gold: You get forum gold for posting on our forums. We also allow you to transfer gold between different accounts on the forum, i.e. give your gold to someone else. You are not allowed to beg for gold, threads begging for gold will be locked and warnings issued. Be creative for ways to compel people to give you their gold. Unless you're an extremely active poster, it is hard to get any large amount of gold from posts. Begging for gold is not allowed.
7.
Forum Name Changes: Name Changes are done at the sole discretion of njaguar. At present, only donors will even be considered for any name changes. If you're not a donor, don't bother asking for a name change.
8.
External Site Links: All links to external sites that have a Diablo II section must be pre-approved by njaguar. You may not, under any circumstance, link to sites with trading forums, items sales, Diablo-Clone hunting affiliation, etc.
9.
Advertising for Money: You may not, under any conditions, advertise for commercial purposes any product or service. This includes, but is not limited to, selling items, accounts, any information, scripts, etc. You may not post links to referal sites, or any other revenue producing links. Failure to comply is bannable on the first offense.
10.
Donation Requests: All requests for monetary donations must be pre-approved by Paul Taulborg before they are allowed! No exceptions!
11.
Buying or Selling Items/Services for Money: You may not, under any conditions, buy or sell any item or service from or through this website for real money. Failure to comply is bannable on the first offense.

Trade Forum Rules:
These rules are very important if your wanting to trade. Read these rules carefully please. Alot of you do not pay attention to the rules. It's time you should. Disobeying the rules is very unhealthy for the enviroment. You could get warnings, if you continue to disobey the rules you could even get banned. Make the right choice. A little reading never hurt.

Banned: No access what so ever.
Losered: Can't use [unit not allowed] functions, can't use the PM system.
Scammer: This person has been found guilty in scamming other people in some form. Trading with this person should be done via mediator to make sure everything goes right.
Member: Regular member doing his thing. That's what you are when you sign up.
Trusted: This member has been active in trades and proven to be most trustworthy. This member will usually be able to request [unit not allowed] or the items delivered to him first.. not just anyone gets this..
Mediator: Mediator is a Trusted trader who has offered to help people with trades. NOTHING more!
Member++: Such a member is the extended ears and eyes for anyone higher. Ability to edit his own posts for an extended period of time/Close his own threads/Bigger PM box/ Sig/Ava Violations-General Help post closing.
Trade Assistant: Will usually alert Trade Mods about issues and report/Take care of offences as well as acting as a Mediator for trades. Usually for [unit not allowed] for items or Anni/Gheeds trades..
Trade Moderator: Has the power to Warn/Close/Move/Delete/Trash etc posts in the Trade forums. These will mod/roam around the Trading grounds and watch that people don't try to scam eachother.
Junior Moderator: The extended arms of the Moderators. Warning/Closing as well as Trashing/Moving powers etc.Will be able to help with most common things in d2jsp or will at least be able to give you a name of a person who will.
Moderator: Now we're talking power.. Same as Junior Moderator but with a few more powers such as Suspending a member but very rarely used. Such a person are not used to people arguing with them about the decisions they make and I would not advise anyone trying to either.
Senior Moderator: All the powers of the other groups plus some Admin power. These are the people who have been with d2jsp for a long period and help make the rules and enforce them. When they speak we suggest you listen!
Retired Moderator: Honorable title for those who were here before us given to Moderators which we will all miss.
Administrator: Make sure you keep the admins PM's to minimum. He is 100% busy always.
