Did they become your favorite band before or after you had that experience at the show? Because it wasn't until after Barnes made eye contact with me and stared at me throughout the entire song "murder in the basement" that I gained the most interest in the band.

Deicide were never my absolute favorite band, but one of them. Went to see them in 2003 and the Hoffman brothers didn't show up for the show. The next week the Hoffmans were claiming that Glen and Steve didn't show up for the show, but Glen and Steve were the ones who were at the show apologizing to everyone for their guitarists not showing up. I don't believe the shit I hear about Glen after that, nothing seems to be reputable.
Been a favorite for years though, finally saw them in 2007.
