I'm going to a premium tobacco shop at lunch that hosts some of the most rare cigars you can buy

I enjoy cigars but have never made a single cigar purchase in excess of 1-too bucks a pop

Anyone here have experience in this field? And NN spending more than 12 bucks a piece (to give ya an idea of my price range)

I'm thinking my only hope here is walking into the store and telling them I enjoy cigars and want to try something "middle of the road" and I'm too cheap to spend more than 10 bucks a piece

onyx are very strong, and quite nice
i prefer earthy flavors, which are stronger and usually a more robust cigar
if you are pairing it with a food tell them. they are usually geeky enough to match it with a vn1 cigar.

question: if i send to someone in states box with cuban cigars, would customs confiscate it as a contraband?

If they were labeled as such, yes.

If they were labeled as generic cigars, they may be allowed as a gift, I'm clearly sure on the taxation/licensing etc.

europeans primarily get cuban cigars into the states by purchasing them in cuba, then bringing them back to europe and shipping them from there (since USA will clearly do direct trade with cuba)

small sampling has been acquired

I'm debating checking out some web sites to see about making a fairly large sample purchase around the holidays to include some of the suggestions made in here
