The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating to armed robberies
that took place within an hour of each other on the east side on
Thursday evening, Nov. 13.
The first happened at 9:05 p.m. in the 3200 block of North Bartlett
Avenue (to blocks west of campus, between East Hampshire Avenue and
East Hartford Avenue).
The second, in which a UWM student was the victim, occurred at 10 p.m.
in the 2900 block of North Frederick Avenue (the second block south of
campus, between East Linnwood Avenue and East Locust Street).

UWM Police Chief Pamela Hodermann reminds anyone who might become a
victim of a robbery to cooperate and turn over any valuables. Stay calm,
get good descriptions of any suspects and their direction of travel, and
contact the local police department as soon as you can.
