I sleep standing up strapped into the corner of my basement. Why do I do this? Because you are less likely to be hit by a meteor like this due to less surface area from a vertical strike. If you are lying down when the meteor hits you it can cut you straight in half but standing up its much much much more likely to miss your body. Also being in the basement helps and reduces possible angles of impact.

It's pretty comfortable too, Velcro straps hold me in place and I use lots of padding. I might patent the sleep system and sell it.
