i transferred off that server when wotlk hit, since my druid was already in trollbane and was raiding BT/Sunwell

now im one of the main tanks for my guild and i absolutely hate it (not tanking, the status of my guild)

1. is your guild hated or something?
2. dc guild has spots for m8s!

our guild isn't hated, we have a pretty good rep on the server for being mature, etc (we dont allow anyone under 18 to join)

we went from like #3 on the server in BC to #13 because we can't down heroic malygos. it's a lack of motivation, nobody is willing to do their part and makes the same mistakes week after week

which normally i dont mind, if im playing with m8s it really doesnt matter if were #1 or not, but everyone is starting to act like a jerk about everything

going to college atm so im not playing 24/7 doing tanking heroics for EVERYONE, so suddenly im the bad guy

a lot of people in the guild are taking advantage of our loot system, etc

tbh id rather be in a much more casual environment with some m8s doing 10 mans and possibly 25 mans every now and then

THAT SOUNDS LIKE DC TO ME!

shitty though to be either used endlessly tanking heroics for guildies or being the bad guy for not doing it/being busy irl

yeah when i started i did heroics like crazy with the same group of people (most were m8s that i knew from jsp and transferred off gorgonnash a little before me)

then once i geared up it became more about doing achievements, i dont mind doing runs to collect badges or help some m8s get rep/gear, but i dont feel like carrying every person in the guild i dont know all the time

maybe instead of transferring i could just level up my hunter or warrior which are still on gorgonnash

hunter is 70, warrior is 40 (could use RAF to bump him up to 60 quickly)

oh, also up here at school i disconnect sometimes, then hop right back on.

people in my guild aren't too happy about that

Go Hunter unless you feel like having to go Tank again. I can Tank on my DK and Hunters are pulling some nasty shit in Arena if you are into PvP.

ive always sucked at pvp, never got above 1650 rating

warrior would be fury imo, amazing dps

i dont mind tank/healer randomly disconnecting during anything remotely difficult

but really, if you are going to be a hunter you have to sit in the corner away from the men (with tanner)

i havent played my hunter for over a year, since back in the pre-kara days (was my first level 70)

lemme hop on and see whats up

even if you made a new char im sure most of us would lvl you through dungeons etc

i know i want to be dps, ive never actually dps'd in a raid except for like once when i came into ssc on my hunter with crazycarl and task

didnt like the hunter dps, but ive always been interested in warrior/mage

why is it crust has "the seeker" for 3000 quests shown under the general quests tab, yet under mine its not even an option?

I think you have to get close to it for it to show up?

you have to get the achievement before it (2000 quests) for it to show

so youll have to get 271 more quests before it will unlock

like, when you start you see the level 10 achievement, but not the ones for 20, 30, 40, etc

either way being in <dc> with just us m8s is good and bad, no way to do guild only raiding or anything so were restricted to pugs, which isnt so bad currently because naxx and os are so easily done by pugs, and we can make up about half of a 10 man group

but when ulduar and such comes out, ill probably join a real raiding guild for a month or so just to see whats up with the new stuff

currently i dont want to be in a real raiding guild just because i let it interfere with rl and school etc

and you achievement whores need to gtfo

not sure whats wrong with me, must just be the time i get home and actually get to play, but i spen 30 min minimum a night either LFG or LFM in the hopes of doing a single heroic

i believe that is the status on most servers, at least it has been on each server i have played on
best bet is to pick up a person or two, then try and spam to find the last people you need to fill out the group

running the daily every day is good for quicker grouping also

these are all things i do
iso m8s doing things like this together

but i have come to the conclusion this will nearly never be the case on a regular basis

plus usually the only people who are doing heroics through LFM as opposed to guild only or mainly guild runs are either alts or extremely casual players who havent been 80 for long

the fact that anyone can raid immediately after hitting 80 and be successful pretty much rapes heroics

but again, if i could find a group who just does a wing or 2 a night then id be perfectly set

casual raiding eliminates a lot of the demand for heroic runs

but all im doing is comparing wotlk to tbc

i see LFM 10/25 naxx/pst your stats/not taking newbies etc

i guess ill just start spending an entire night attempting to pug a wing or two and wait until the following week to pick it up as they will have most likely cleared it

but iso belt from the nexus first and 29 more heroic badges first

you have gotten lots of ilvl 200 gear from heroics/blacksmithing/etc
naxx 10 is ilvl 200, meaning your current gear is on the same level as the gear that drops in naxx 10
next level up is ilvl 213 which is 25mans

your chars stats and dps is plenty for naxx, people in lfm say they want only good people but they accept basically anyone with epics, its all about player skill anyways

but i like achievements
