We used the "glitch" strategy tanking him in between scrap bot piles, that works fantastically better.

Auriaya: 1 shot, new record time

Freya: 1 wipe, someone aggro'd Freya early, screwed us on a terrific start, made it to 400k and wiped; new record time (2nd attempt)

Thorim: 1 wipe, bad arena (hallway needs to get there faster); 2nd attempt MT & OT went down, myself & a Druid swapping to Bear on the fly finished it off at 17 stacks, a very nice save

Hodir: 1 wipe, had to call it on time, people don't seem to know how to get out of Flash Freeze, this is not complicated

Best first night before this was 5 bosses.

Swapped to Frost & was tanking with PRO cooldowns. Warrior & Paladin both went down, why.



Tooltip says, "Defeat Flame Leviathan on the first try without anyone repairing their vehicle on Heroic Difficulty". As long as you stay away from the Spiders, and take care of the Helicopters quickly, it's very, very easy.

Looks like the guild might be trying to get a 2nd Ulduar 10 up and running, I will for sure be in that one. I wonder if I can roll on DPS gear, I need to improve that gear.

Need to figure out if I should drop some of my Stamina gems for threat gems for Vezax.

I think there will be an MD rotation and hopefully some other aggro boosting abilities on me.

max hp for tanking vezax shouldnt matter much, its all about mitigation due to the fact that its an endurance fight

youll be sitting and tanking him during surge instead of kiting right? icebound fort on every surge should keep you alive just fine

I'm proalbey going to need to regem everything I have, I just tried putting in 6 Guardian's Twilight Opals to see what that improved, not much, and then 6 Delicate Scarlet Rubies, still, not much. Going to try to swap out my JC Stamina gems for Expertise gems now.

The dodge & parry isn't what I'm worried about, it's the parry haste hits and the Expertise I need to avoid them as well as the added threat more Expertise will give me.

I've also got two tanking Macro's for this, the first time I've done that since I was first learning to tank and thought using all of my cool downs on one Macro was a good idea.

On 25 man it's a DK thing (unless you have certain Glyphs & Talents as a Warrior or an effective combination of outside cool downs). The reason is that the hits right before & after Surge of Darkness paired up with a hit or two under Surge of Darkness can kill Warriors since their cool downs are 10 seconds, and depending on when they are cast, you might be too early/late.

The cool downs on my DK last longer and are only one a 60 second cool down, which can be used for every Surge.

Life down from about 35k with Stamina gems to about 32k with Expertise gems. Total with Rhinolicious Wormmmeat food is 33 Expertise.

Khornne in Umbral Sect has 33 Expertise, but it's from his gear, 8-9 from his Weapon, 5 from his ring, and about 8 from his pants.

Important upgrades & things to shoot for:
Pants from Malygos 25
Weapon from Ignis 25 or random Naxx 25 drop
Weapon from Ulduar 10
Ring from Auriaya 25

I'm really starting to love Recount more & more during these run backs.

Interrupters are making their own channel since some of them use retarded chat mods and apparently can't hear in Ventrilo when their name is called out. I forgot that are min/max - theorycrafting DK doesn't know how to make a macro...

Apparently the designated spot for Shadow Crashes & Mark of the Faceless is too confusing, left & right once again are hard.

If you get Mark of the Faceless while you are running out of Shadow Crash with the group, common sense says to go the other way, even if the designated area is running back the other way with the group...

ya its proalbey more effective to just tell mark of the faceless to GTFO the group

and theres no problem with spreading everyone around the room, you dont need the whole group in shadow crashes at all times

It feels like there is absolutely no progress being made. I am also dying to melee swings well outside of Surges (I'm not sure if that's because a healer is busy healing a ranged, whatever the boss does to hit me very hard from dodges/parries back to back [etc])...

We tried that last week, was bad, doing it all with everyone in one ranged group moving. Healers & melee are in their own groups on different sides of the boss.

stacking spriests would make it so trivial

plus each add mc'd gives a raid wide stacking 20% haste buff which is why its good
