Jsp was banned along with many other farming bot accounts (not mine).

I had about 90 stacks of herbs on it too, was going to transfer them over when I got home and decided to let it run until the bags were full.

Dumb.

Looks like Defcon will be back in commission when I can get game time on the account and it's safe to bot again.

at least they didn't/don't link botters to separate accounts anymore, so you still have stoya etc

they did that in classic several times with the wowsharp and early glider banwaves

Yeah, I was on both accounts when it got banned, looks like I am fine.

If they wanted to take the work to do that (with tons of botters it would be a pain in the ass), they would see all of the gold I have went from Bot -> Bot Bank Alt -> Civilized Guild Bank and fuck me.

yes what i'm saying is it was a much easier task for them in classic to follow that chain, so they would

i got banned that way, as did several of my friends

with the huge increase in botters now, it would be too difficult to do efficiently and so they just ban the bots

I've had a suspicion that Ripfang was a botter since I was leveling Stoya up, hoping to see if this is confirmed today.

So apparently the bot I was using was using some code that was similar, but not the same, as some hacking utility for WoW. Unfortunately it was caught several days ago before implementing a new security feature (this was targeted on August 28th), and the botters using this just happened to get unlucky with this "banwave". Users who weren't using it before that day are fine, users using it currently (right now, live) are fine.

So apparently there won't be a huge increase in prices of things, oh well, but I need to get more game time now on Defcon (other 80 Warlock).

I started these in BC with Felguard and later SL/SL, you don't ever need to eat or drink if set up properly (pet tanking, cast dots, Life Tap, Siphon Life & Drain Life, Improved Drain Soul to end up with full mana & health after every mob). Now with WotLK, DK's are amazing for PvE botting, as well as Paladins and SL/Felguard Warlocks.

The bot that I've been using since Glider went down was strictly a farming (herbs & ores only) bot, and I used the Warlocks because I had them already.
