I never did a "one rep" max but the most impressive weight I ever lifted off my chest was 385lbs for over 10 reps on the decline bench

Edit: just remembered I have more info about this in the link in my jsp profile

Most I did on flat bench was 250 @ 150.
at 185 I can do like 250 for around 4 on decline.
On DB decline I can do 95s for about 5-7ish.
Also, I dont max any more, waste of energy/time for me. :P

I can do around 225-230. I weigh 200 Lbs. I have never been able to get above 25 lbs over my bodyweight. Haven't lifted in a while though. Been focusing on cardio more now when I have been working out. Did Powerlifting for 2 years. My good area was the deadlift only really.

Fuck Bench. I'd rather talk about DL and Squats. I only do benches because they're a compounder and a "competetive" lift.

Most people think it's what makes you a man tbh.

Just like most people fucking do curls in the squat rack/cage. Makes me want to punch them in the cock.

Indeed. And for some reason the gym I'm at only has 1. Girl who worked there was like, no, there's two (talking about the Smith machine). I just looked at her and was like "are you fucking serious?"

lifting weights is not as good for your heart as running or swimming is.

and i do those things. i can move anything in my house, thats pretty much the only reason i need muscles, so why bother getting stronger. the girls that are attracted to muscles are not the girls i want anyway.

1. That's a myth. Depending on the type of lifting it's actually BETTER for your heart. It's already been proven it's better for your metabolism.

2. Stronger muscles leads to not just having more strength, but more stanima, a stronger constitution, a better sense of well beign, more resistent to injury, stronger bones, a faster metabolism, increased sex drive... I could go on and on. Look, if you're just not into lifting, or too much of a wuss to do it, fine. Just say that. But don't make up bullshit excuses.

having a heavier heart is not having a stronger heart

running is better for your heart than weightlifting. that is a fact.

being stronger, having more "stanima", better sense of well being, etc have nothing to do with your heart. unless youre really that weak of a person that you need to lift to feel good. i still feel good about myself if i go 2 days without leaving my room, i dont give a fuck.

and i dont know what i would do with myself if my sex drive increased. id probably be single again as cause of wrecking my girlfriends vagina

around 60 pounds

you must be proud gull
its proalbey more but i dont think ive ever been in a weight room in my life, no need for that garbage

no need for getting in shape? getting muscles? strengthening your body/heart, becoming more healthy?

the fuck
lifting weights is not as good for your heart as running or swimming is.

and i do those things. i can move anything in my house, thats pretty much the only reason i need muscles, so why bother getting stronger. the girls that are attracted to muscles are not the girls i want anyway.

And that's just the first link from a quick google search. If you are "running" at 4.0 mph, theres now way it's better for you on a cardiovascular level as opposed to high intensity weight training.

I'll see what I can find on pubmed and nejm (providing my membership is still good there) if you really want me to, otherwise come at me with something that makes sense.

You fail at flaming and probably just about everything else, at least with that attitude.

4 mph? are you kidding?? i didnt say walking, i said running

im talking at least 7 miles per hour. go ahead check pubmed, youll probably only find shit about DNA.

in the future you probably shouldnt call someone bad at flaming, and then present the worst argument ever. and maybe you should read the article you post before you post it. it outlines why running is good for your heart, and why weightlifting is good for your damaged goods ego and metabolism
