i don't think any of you here listen to ska or streetlight but whatever
first volume of 99 songs came out today, 11 covers that are pretty good all around
its only ~33 minutes for all of them but it has been on repeat since i purchased the cd, i'm hooked
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hnpIK-SC_i0 - hell [squirrel nut zippers] (my favorite song so far)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNT85Mdw7Ok&feature=related - me and julia down by the schoolyard [paul simon] (close second)
some of them kind of stray from that streetlight sound i love [skyscraper, such great heights] but its pure bliss all the same
the artists/songs covered:
1 mason jennings - birds flying away
2 squirrel nut zippers - hell
3 radiohead - just
4 bad religion - skyscraper
5 the dead milkmen - punk rock girl
6 nofx - linoleum
7 paul simon - me and julia down by the schoolyard
8 bandits of the acoustic revolution - the provide the paint
9 the cyrkle - red rubber ball [covered their cover of paul simon's original]
10 louis jordan - the troubador
11 the postal service - such great heights
check it out, imo.
