i was surprised when we saw jaime/brienne that jaime still had his hand, cuz in the book the chapter ends, then next chapter he is handless. i liked it this way better tho. also, wtf was with the music during the credits? lol

To be fair, in the books, you dont know if it comes down on his head, if hes alive, or what the fuck happens. all you know is that the arakh comes down and he screams after telling himself repeatedly that he wouldnt.

on an unrelated note, none too pleased with how theyre making stannis out to be a stage 5 clinger with melly
its really uncomfortable
book to show change -> shes probably going off to meet thoros for whatever reason based on some of the trailer footage, not sure how it will be explained though
or when they will introduce shireen and selyse

in all fairness, stannis does come off like a lunatic up until this point in the book. and im awaiting the part of the book where he becomes a likable character (i know you are a fan of his)

book 5 spoiler -> in mely's chapter, she describes her bed as useless now that stannis is gone. its kind of implied they are fucking and drooly over each other like its implied renly is gay

makes the line in book 1 (and season 1) about brans fall by jaime: "he'll live the rest of his life as a cripple, a grotesque, give me a clean death any day"

he is never a likable character in the books, he just does his duty and doesnt bend for any reason

i think a good description is that this was basically like ned in season 1 wtf moment
behanding jamie is basically the same as killing him

makes the line in book 1 (and season 1) about brans fall by jaime: "he'll live the rest of his life as a cripple, a grotesque, give me a clean death any day"

at this point you really start to see jaime's character and what kind of person he is. from here on out in the series he is one of my favorite characters. which is funny, because i hated him so much in books 1 and 2

in all fairness, stannis does come off like a lunatic up until this point in the book.  and im awaiting the part of the book where he becomes a likable character (i know you are a fan of his)

he is never a likable character in the books, he just does his duty and doesnt bend for any reason

he is like a ruthless ned stark without any compassion or emotion. is he was ned stark as hand of the king he would have told robert on his death bed about cersei's incest, and not met with cersei in the garden to warn her to leave town but i do like him, mostly because i love davos and at least stannis listens to davos

for example, he starts to realize what a cunt cersei is, what a fucker his son is, and you find out more about the story of why he betrayed the mad king and start to understand how he was acting morally after all. i also like the sword play with sir ilyn, i hope they dont forget about that in the series. i feel overall, jaime becomes more like barristen selmy as head of the white cloaks, and less like a douche

if they do the sir ilyn stuff it will be with a different actor because the current one is dying from pancreatic cancer
