i feel like old town is this books foreshadowing to next book. not much concrete but little innuendos and hints that i must not have put together.

more like why would this ruin your day at all. i didnt need to read any online theories to know that it wasnt something to be upset about when grrm has done this with other characters

the killing of a "good" character does not bother you? over 5 books i have grown to hate and like different characters, and jon is one i like. if hes murdered then yes, im angry (its not real anger [are you 12?], but it's certainly a blow to my wants for the good guys to win and the bad guys to lose). to add to that, part of what makes this series so good is that the good guy loses a lot.
and if you want to play the "nothing is over until grrm says so", then i can only say it's a little dishonest on grrms part, leaving all avenues open until he feels like doing something with it. my assumption is melisandre raises him, or saves him somehow. hes not gone, just changed.

oh id be upset too / angry whatever if jon was actually dead... but im saying im not upset because i am 95% sure he is not dead. even when i first read it i thought he is, at the very least, going to warg into ghost's body. why else have that prologue? also, martin killing anyone doesnt bother me too much anymore, kind of desensitized at this point after witnessing the death of all the starks, renly, or any other likeable character
