I didn't think the horn would be blown in book 2 honestly, and that mat would be the one to do it...but it makes sense that mat would be tied to rand through it, and Perrin to hold the banner...gonna start book 3 tomorrow

the stuff with egwene was the best at the end of book 2, i like that artur hawkwing calls mat by the name "gambler". glad you are enjoying these, the next one is probably the best of the first 3 books imo, just like i think book 6 is the best of the 2nd group of 3. you are in for a treat

the t'angrel (spelling) the aes sedai use for becoming one of the accepted im assuming is alternate realities or fantasies but she saw aginor inside, but did she use the one power to re open the portal to get out and does that hurt/affect her later on?

i dont think she can use the one power (saidar) to get out of the the ter'angreal. the test to becoming accepted is just that, a test. once she is done with it she is done. also, interesting to note, most novices spend many years to becoming an accepted. think of it as getting an undergraduate degree, where becoming aes sedai is like a phd. they basically gave nyneave an honorary bachelors right off the bat because she's that powerful... and she cant even channel without being angry

holy fuckin shit man, I had a rough feeling that they would all end up in tear just from how it began. But damn the different journeys they took.
Mat, fuckin awesome although with Egwene dreaming him playing dice with Balz' makes me think that their is more to the story. He also seems to be somehow "channeling" the old blood in him with the dreams of battle, and aparrantly speaking in the old tongue when he doesnt even know it. Should be interesting to see how that plays out.

Perrin. Interested to see how the wolfbrother plays itself out more. He seems to be learning more about it, but at the same time being cautious with it until "his falcon" fell into the trap. Hopper, fuck yeah for saving him more than once and trying to guide him...wonder if he helped Eylas too, and if Perrin will find him again. Either way, I see the dream stuff playing itself out more in the coming books especially with Perrin and Egwene

Rand. Didnt get a whole bunch of him once he left the camp that night, but it seems to of acted as a test for him to break off and go there by himself and face Bel Al almost by himself. Got himself the sword, and as you said 3rd most powerful san'greal made in the age of legends. I think that having that, will help him stave off the madness of the dark ones taint on saidin...but not sure since we did not hear from him after he proclaimed himself the dragon at the end.

Aiel people are fucking bad ass as shit. I think that Rand is going to end up going to the Waste, to Rhuidean for something possibly acceptance by the Aiel, not sure yet though.

I can't see him starting a war, but I have a feeling he is either heading towards Rhuidean or Lanfear to help with channeling... Also thought it was a nice touch to have him say they spoke in the old tongue and so I did not get most of it but mat understood everything perfectly, if not much

Lan, holy fk did he like lash out at nyanave when he found out she was going to Tabandico and not the tower...(im buthering spelling of shit i know)

Morriane, pulling out the nephew card to make Thom go with Nynave and Elayne...pretty low blow but saw him not being able to bow out of this completely, and he did manage to help Rand some in Tear.

one thing to note lanfear channels saidar, not saidin, and the weaves to do things for each are very different. lanfear has some idea about how men channel, but rand needs a male channeler to teach him. not many of those are around

yes but she has a male forsaken who would teach him yadda yadda etc etc

Loilal is a champ, taking the ways without an aes sedai to mantherean? baller. but they will have Gaul, so maybe an Aiel will help some too

Rand - figured a fight was coming with whatever forsaken was in rhuidean, didn't see it going down that way. Had no clue that it was possible to sever the dark ones ties like that, but also interesting to learn that's what protected him from madness...maybe there will still be a way. I didn't see coulidan somehow having double dragons but it seemed to help with the "he will bind you and also destroy you" binding those who stayed destroying those who didn't want to hear about the history of he aiel.

Mat - I still think he is awesome even though he is still trying to piece together what he is supposed to do even with the holes in his memory that got filled. I feel like he is speaking in old tongue without realizing it

Lord Perrin "GoldenEye's" - fuck yeah, I think that this was a good side story to have with the book, and i do think that Alyanna is still working for Elidra at the tower possibly for the dark one. Verin just cares about hrr knowledge and watching the tavereen work. Him takjng charge and leadong like that i knew was bound to happen but didnt think he would get married to Faile like that. Amd whatever Verin meant about knowing what it means to of married her makong me wonder. Suppose ill mention "ordeith" aka fain here...i hadamost texted you saying that was fain when i started reading 4 but didnt...or maybe i did cant remember

Nyvane - takes on a forsaken and wins? Hot damn. I dont think Liandrin or the blacks were going to use the collar for rand, perhaps whatever the other thing morghienne was talking about that she also took. Gotta think more on it.

I have a feeling Min Suian and Logain are going to find rand or try to help hin, and prior to rand severing asmodan from the dark one i thought logain moght help teach rand what he knew but not sure what he is going to do now

Ive been noticing that about her, and yeah im interested to see how he plays oout and how lanfear tries to interfere with it or not, and it is the coolest name...but I am wondering what rand is gonna do with the Aiel since he keeps telling himself that he can't get attached and needs to use them for one thing

looks like morgasse is finally realizing she is being controlled by rhavin (gaebril) and is starting to do something about it. about 50-100 pages ago when egwene was talking about her dreams of seeing eliada as amrylin she mentioned she saw rand on the throne of a queen and she was sad...rand to take over camelyn?

this book is just fantastic... the stuff with the rebel aes sedai is great, nyneave is great, rand is badass, and the last 100 pages are such a rush
