I must be reading this wrong, because it sounds to me like you're saying buy these pouches off the GE for that price or below, then trade them in for the shards....then sell the shards....to break even? Even if it's a slight profit...that's a lot of work for a few gp. Now if you made 1k per pouch, then it's worth it. But say it's only 50 gp....50k for the time involved isn't worth it.

that is, but with tons of people dumping thousands of pouches for minimum, the ge is bound to update and reflect lower prices, i was thinking more of 200-300 per, and on multiple types of pouches at once
