I got 3 santas on the christmas '03. Sold them all for 5k or so shortly after . (that was a shitload back then). I've also had 2 hat sets at one point valuing at like 500k. Oh btw, iirc, the first few r2h were like a mill each (the best item in the game at the time, because there were no different attack speeds in classic, and no members). Another fact I just remembered: Tks led the overall highscores at 1535 skill total for well over 6 months. Then got banned in the rs classic mass ban in '05 kek.

rs classic was the shit.

Mining is gg, especially once you have enough ores to smith.

When agility came out, the only agility course was the gnome one iirc. Was ridiculous. And there wasn't even running, so you pretty much only used the skill ro skill total and quests, and to get to coal truck mines or w/e that place is.

The first page on the highscores wasn't even close to full of 99s when rs2 came out.

Nowadays there are things like 18k people with 99 fletching, etc. Another reason why I dislike rs2: too easy to raise skills.

fletching cooking and thieving are no achievment to 99, even though they still take 2 weeks+ straight training to go 70-99

You think those were easy? There was one easy skill to level in classic: Firemaking...

You only lit normal logs, but got extra exp based on your firemaking level. The formula is 26 + (1.813 X Firemaking Level). So at level 20 firemaking, you get ~60 exp per fire. And it was also slightly easier because if you cut a tree (or mined an ore or caught a fish, for that matter), and your inventory was full, it drops it to the ground.

I just set some bank pin thing, but I can't even deposit my items. Oh and their sad word filter filtered out "sucks".

Yeah I've been through the members object ordeal more than once.

I think it's fun for new players but to me it's stupid compared to the old version.

My account that got banned wasnt even mine. It was shared by me and my friend, and we got it from his little brother's friend who gave it to use and still paid the membership. I didn't raise any of the skills, I autoed them with STS bot. And we only had like 4M on the char, which is like 200k value rs2 cash.
I really didn't give a fuck, I flamed them in my ban appeal.

The old game was more about fun than levels, and ask anyone that played it and they'll say that the pking was more fun. Fuck yes, it was harder.

Yes, the game is kinda fun, although repetitive, after you get some high skills and you're actually able to do stuff.
