Campus Safety Alert: Armed Robbery


An armed robbery took place at about 9:45 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 1, in the
3400 block of North Oakland Avenue (the second block northwest of
Cunningham Hall, between East Newport and East Edgewood avenues).

The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating. Please call its
Criminal Investigation Bureau, (414) 935-7302, if you have information
about the incident.

The UWM Police Department would like to remind anyone who might become a
victim of a robbery to cooperate and turn over any valuables. No amount
of property is worth your life. Stay calm, get good descriptions of any
suspects and their direction of travel and contact the local police
department as soon as you can.
