those that take the brunt of this shit are the average upper middle class, those like maybe spencer who goes and gets an education, ends up making 100k a year, saves it, invests it, and after 30-40 years hass accumulated a few mil in property value and etc. then when they die they have to pay 40% on shit they were taxed on years ago.

i guess the govt figures your income is combined and they dont want to tax you twice i guess? so they drop it.

i just grew up with all my friends being rich

and they acted like they were cooler then me because they drove nice cars that they didnt pay for, didnt pay insurance for, didnt pay gas for, didnt pay for repairs.

when i drove a car that i payed for, i payed insurance gas etc etc

i figured i was the cooler one for working hard and getting something i could be proud of


however, i learned thats not the way the world works.

they figure that a household of more than one should not be taxed the way a household of one is taxed. they view it on an individual basis, yet they provide an option for file jointly to pay more than a single, yet less than 2 singles.

just 10 years ago u of i champaign-urbana was only about 10k a year instate tuition. got me some discounts cuz me mom was on the "other" side of said tracks.
saved me about 7k a year imo
