The Federal government captures a prisoner of war and tortures them for information, an Islamic militant builds and then detonates a bomb strapped to himself, and a man plans out and rapes a women. Which, if any, would you consider to be a terroristic act? Undoubtedly you, as many, would consider only the Islamic suicide bomber a terrorist. Every word has varying meanings amongst cross-sections of the population, each subtly different than the other, but in essence the same. It is this essence that the true definition of a word needs to capture, and what many have struggled toward and researched for years.

I was debating making it shorter that but the teacher is somewhat anal about having a legitly lengthy introduction paragraph...not just a quick one or two sentence intro to catch someones attention

possibly too long for a speech, but nn

only too long for the initial attention grabber first sentance

for example
"The man in Black fled across the desert,and the gunslinger followed."

Gunslinger should of just shot him imo, not much of a gunslinger if you cant hit someone running away
