I know your not a fan of green bottles, but you seriously gotta look into getting fliptops regardless of what color the glass is.

When bottling, it's so much easier than needing 2 people to fill/cap. I did the entire bottling myself and was able to use 1 hand to fill and the other to seal up the fliptops. I'm not much of a multitasker, but this made me proud.

That is ofc unless you like to feel the power of bending metal under your hands while capping normal bottles :B

Here is the problem with buying the fliptops...
My homebrew store sells them for $1.70 a piece. I just purchased a case of grolsch for 3 less than buying the bottles empty :euh:

I am jealous you got all those extra bottles, I have the exact opposite problem and been asking m8's to purchase nonscrew offs

Valid point... Just for shits I might shell out the money for 2 cases of nongreen bottles and do a little controlled experiment.

My homebrew store has green, brown, clear and dark blue. I'd love to know if the dark blue is better at blocking light than brown?

Imeant those are the swingtops available to me, but I'd much rather get them with beer alreadyin them but that doesn't seem possible since grolsch seems to be the only one imported around here
