Campus Safety Alert: Armed Robberies
Milwaukee police are investigating a series of robberies that have
occurred on the city’s East Side.
On Wednesday, March 11, four individuals – one carrying a sawed-off
shotgun – were involved in two robberies at about 11 p.m.The first incident was in the 2500 block of North Cramer Street and
second was in the 2600 block of North Newhall Street. Both locations are
approximately a half mile south of the main campus.

robbery that took place at about 3:30 p.m. March 6 in the 2700 block of
North Maryland Avenue, a third of a mile south of campus. Please call
the MPD Criminal Investigation Bureau, (414) 935-7302, if you have
information about the incidents.
The UWM Police Department would like to remind anyone who might become a
victim of a robbery to co-operate and turn over any valuables. No amount
of property is worth risking one’s personal safety. Stay calm, get good
descriptions of any suspects and their direction of travel, and contact
the local police department as soon as possible.
